Re: What have you watched recently?

I just saw a really strange film, "SouthLand Tales". It has a lot of famous actors in it, as well as the Rock.
The film is just, well weird. I can't tell if it was good or not, anyone out there seen it tell me what they think of it?

Re: HORROR FANS- Who's seen "A Serbian Film"?

Damn it, I wasn't going to watch this film but after watching the video's you posted I really want to check it out. Because the director is really clever, he's not just some fucked up weirdo, he actually believes in what he's doing. And just for that I'm going to have to check it out and destroy my ...

Re: All-Star Superman To Be An Animated Feature

I want a Green Arrow one, I think he will be one of the more "easy to gravitate to" character for kids as well as adults, plus I would love to see some kick ass arrow fight scenes.

Re: First image of Reynolds as Green Lantern

Saying Green Lantern somewhere on it might help get people curious, Joe Shmoe isn't going to have any idea what this is for, and the tiny website url doesn't count. I think not having the title is part of the enigma. The "Joe Shmoe" would just be interested by the pretty pictures and the ...

Looks like all his other films, a mix of sex and violence.
So over all it should be a good film to watch once.

Re: Okay, seriously -- What the f**k?!

Whedon is more of a character building writer, his X-men run was perfect for a wider audience and not filled with continuity.
The avengers film should have the right amount of action and characterization.

Overall it should be a good film, with witty/cheesy (but funny) dialogue and some ass kicking.

Re: Okay, seriously -- What the f**k?!

Just to throw in some good news, I just read somewhere that Joss Weden is writing and directing "Avengers". I don't no if this is well knowen new, but I'm happy that its him, and really can't wait. This thing about Cp. A is just something the director said probably, once you see the film o...

http://movies.yahoo.com/news/movies.ap.org/guillermo-del-toro-direct-new-haunted-mansion-ap He's an insanely talented director! Has anyone seen Pan's Labyrinth? The only director more qualified would be Terry Gilliam! Well he may of directed a good film like Pan's Labyrinth, but has anyone seen Hel...

Re: Scott's soundtrack/film score appreciation thread

Just saw inception, and wow its an amazing film.
The soundtrack, another Hans Zimmer score, is beautiful. It gives you that dream feel, like the superman score makes you feel like your flying. It also has a bit of a thriller and dark side to it. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Re: Scott's soundtrack/film score appreciation thread

I also hold the Van Helsing score with some high regard, but like IJacone said, i don't think you will like the film. It's got some good bits and is worth seeing once. More of a family feel good film then a good film. I would also though out Any Hans Zimmer score out there. Just to list a few Gladia...

Gotta say I love the way you tell us about the issues you review. Very interactive and makes me feel like I'm listening to a audiobook. Have read one or two trades of some more modern Jonah Hex and really liked them. Talking about Jonah Hex related stuff, check out Red Dead Redemption, whilst I was ...

Just thought I would chime in about the beatles talk, just because I haven't listened to the episode yet, and say I don't really like there music. Ok don't get me wrong I admit they are amazing musicians and changed the face of music for the better, but there like the "Citizen Kane" of the...
