Stargate Universe.... Cancelled

Bummer. I thought it had some really decent characters, some good stories with a different spin on the Stargate lore. Oh well another one bites the dust... Not to mention it leaves Syfy with almost nothing on my must see list. A few years ago Syfy had it going on with the friday night trifecta SG1, SG Atlantis & BSG... Oh well good luck Destiny crew.... hope you catch a gate home someday.

Yeah I'm pretty upset by this as well. It was starting to get it's stride. Also doesn't look like we'll actually get an ending since the last 10 episodes are already filmed. I'm holding out hope for a follow up original movie.

Hell, I would be glad to see something of a finish on DVD. I have liked Stargate in its many guises over the years. I got sucked into the idea that SG1 was going to wrap up its story with 2 feature films which somehow tranlated in my mind to mean big screen releases not made for Syfy tv movies. I thought, "Firefly" pulled it off with "Serenity" (Loved it), why cant SG1 pull it off? Those 2 debacles don't leave me anxiously awaiting a follow up original SGU close out movie.... Unless they edit together some stuff they already have shot? Smells like leftovers albeit sometimes leftovers are yummy.

I've been watching this, and enjoying it for the most part, but you know? I really wasn't that sad when I heard it got cancelled.

So, I guess I wasn't enjoing it as much as I thought.

What a pisser! This is the only Stargate I've watched other than the movie.

It's the only one I've watched of the stargate universe, and I really liked it. (I did start SG-1, but when people they met on a random planet spoke english without any explanation as to how this was possible, or anyone wondering how this was possible, I stopped).
I'm pretty annoyed that it stopped, and left us with such a cliffhanger. I loved the characters, the ideas and I wish they would do something more with it.
