Old School Game Play Help

I've never really gotten into video games. If I did, I'd never get ANYTHING done. I'm happy playing things like Ms. Pac Man and Tetris and Myst was as about as exciting as it got for me.

But every now and then a game really hits with me like crack on a 10 dollar whore. A couple of games that I really enjoyed were Twisted Metal II in the 1990s and Roadblasters in the 1980s. Simple drive and shoot games.

Some of my early 80s favorites I've been able to find on new retro game units for cheap. Does anyone know if Roadblasters is out there somewhere? I did buy the disc used for Twisted Metal but don't own a Playstation. Can I pick up an old PS unit from the 90s for cheap?

Roadblasters (great game BTW) as far as I know was never released on consoles or for home use. That doesn't mean you probably can't find an emulator but I don't know where you stand on that issue.

Old PS Ones can be had for a song at least at used game stores anf flea markets around here. I got one recently with a copy of Suikoden for $20.

You did see the new Twisted metal coming for the PS3, right? They just announced it at this years E3.

No, I didn't. I just don't follow the video game industry much.

TM II holds a special place from my late college years. One room mate bought the game but it was me and the third room mate that got hooked "killing the Clown". It was a tradition to come home from classes, pop a Corona, chips and salsa, and play for hours. So much so that I also didn't finish a paper and the other guy also didn't graduate.
