I wholeheartedly agree with both of your picks, Jordan.
Rage-The new id engine 5.0 running in all of its HD glory was a beautiful sight to behold. This game is like Fallout and Borderlands had a good looking kid and taught him how to play Doom.
Fallout:New Vegas: A big favorite of mine (and some of the other Dudes)from 2009 was Fallout 3. I put over 100 hours into that game. You can imagine my glee at seeing Fallout New Vegas.
Halo:Reach- Ship-to-ship space combat, a brand new graphics engine, four player co-op, and the new assasination moves and armor load-outs from the online beta. Yes please.
There were also a lot of things I expected to see but did not:
New Elder Scrolls:Oblivion game from Bethesda(Bethesda South has been working on something for a looong time with no announcement)
GTA5, LA Noire, or Agent-All three of these Rockstar games are in various states of production but had no E3 presence at all
Prototype 2
Beyond Good and Evil 2 and the new iteration of Thief- two big hush hush projects from ubisoft
