I really want to create a database for both my DVDs/ and Blu-Rays but I haven't been able to find one for free that I particullarly impressed with. I have about 50 bds and a little over 500 DVDs. I guess I am more focused on something good for BDs since that is where my collection is going but I am not planning on totally upgrading my DVD collection either (Hell it took me 10 years and a lot of money for those movies). Does anyone have any suggestions!

I Love IT!

There's a free and paid version. The free version has some features left out, but the paid is cheap enough and SO WORTH IT!

Try it for free and you'll see what I mean.

? Does it allow others to view your collection online?

Yes, but only the paid version. That's one of the features that's disabled.

They provide server space, which is included with yout paid registration.

I found a PHP/MySQL website that I integrated into totgu to show it off.

But that takes your own server to do.

It's only $30, and you only pay it once. All updates are free.

I use DVDpedia. I think they have a free version with a limited number of movies you can add but I did the one time fee for the full works. Basically, it can tap into IMDB and Amazon.com for information and images and everything can be manually edited. Essentially, it looks like iTunes but for movies instead of music.

You can export a limited amount of info to your iPod or for others to see. You can call up stats and see which directors or actors you have the most in your collection. I just passed 1,800 movies. I also use the Book version and the CD versions. I'm on a Mac too if that matters.
