What podcasts (other than those listed above) do you listen to?
What is their update schedule?
Length?
What are they about?

Mine include:
Major Spoilers Podcast - Twice weekly (Tuesday and Saturday)
Usually around 1.5 hours
Comics and pop culture. Each week they have news, reviews, a poll of the week and the a trade paper back review. Hosts are very informed and have a lot of fun.

Critical Hit - Once weekly (Saturday)
Usually around 1.5 hours
The guys from the Major Spoilers Podcast play a game of D and D 4th ed and record it. Usually very funny and good for those familiar with D and D as well as those that aren't.

Movie Banter - Once a fortnight (Thursdays, usually)
Usually less than an hour
Three British comedians discuss movies. Usually very, very funny, especially if you are into "British humour"

Coverville - 2 or 3 times weekly
Usually no more than 45 mins
A podcast dedicated to cover songs and cover related music.

I listen to more but these are my favs!! Apart from HHW/LOD of course!!

-D!

I listen to Jay and Jack. THey used to be all about LOST, but for obvious reasons they have branched out. Usually lots of fun.

I'm going to give each on here on the forums a try.

For the moment I just listen to:

CGS
HHW
LOD
TOtGU

That's really all I have time for. But that's only because I'm listening to all the Wheel Of Time Audio books.

I listen to:

Comics related
HHW and LOD (just started last week)
CGS
iFanboy
11 O'clock Comics
Wordballoon
Captain America Archives
Tom Vs The Flash

Non-comics related
Shockwaves Skullsessions

I'm sure there's more but I just can't think of them right now. I listen to all my podcasts at work, not at home.

By the way, if you love Heavy Metal, check out my other podcast called Radioactive Metal on iTunes or here: . You can also catch us "live" on purerockradio.net every Thursday at 8pm Eastern time. A few days later, the episode is moved to their podcast section where you can listen to ALL of Pure Rock's original content any time you want.

We talk about all styles of hard music... from classic rock to death metal. We recently had an episode about comics and metal. We had special guest Jonny the Homicidal Drummer join us for this one. Please keep in mind that it's a music podcast, so we did not go into too much detail about comics, since most of our listeners are not comics fan. Too much minutia would have bored them to death!

We try to find interesting subjects regarding our favorite type of music. Once in a while, we do band (or genre) specific episodes. Recently, we also had interviews with Bruce Kulick (formerly of Kiss), Y&T, Dan Lilker (Brutal Truth, Anthrax). Upcoming this week, we have Mike Levine of Triumph!

"I believe in Rock And Roll!"

"The Gods you worship are steel,
At the altar of rock 'n' roll you kneel.
A slave who forever rocks,
Is chained in the devil's locks,
And slain by the bloody axe I wail!"

If you like comedy, check out Joe Rogan's podcast. He talks stand up, smoking weed, MMA and sex. It's a pretty entertaining show.

If you like semi-educational and fun, and you want podcasts that you can listen to with the kiddies, you should check out all of the shows from How Stuff Works -

My favorites from there are
- Stuff you should know (Chuck and Josh are a riot)
- Brain Stuff (5 minute average)
- Stuff you missed in history class
- Stuff from the Science Lab
- Stuff they don't want you to know (for the conspiracy theorists out there)
