I read that story as "Brett is retiring from training camp". Otherwise, he fucked the team over by not telling them sooner. They passed over liek 3-4 future QBs in the draft.

I get that. Favre coming to the Purple is polarizing to say the least. But in the age of Free Agents, cheating sports agents and their college football racket, the time has ended for a team of guys to mean something. It is more about the guaranteed money, the personal records, and a Super Bowl Ring (in that order) than anything else. If I hadn't joined a Fantasy Football league three years ago, I would have been done w/the NFL. You gotta take what you can honestly expect from the league these days.

At this point, I'll be SHOCKED if he isn't playing. The man doesn't like training camp, so holding the team hostage, thats just Brett being Brett. His ego is too big and really, if he plans on playing he should just say so.
