How do you like your Barbecue?

I try to picture myself as somewhat of a barbecue connoisseur even though I am not really in an area that is famous for it's barbecue. My question is do you prefer sauce or dry rub, what type of meat (pork, sausage, chicken, beef). I honestly like just about any barbecue. I used to like pork ribs the best with a kansas city style barbecue sauce but now I tend to be a little bit more of a fan of pulled pork shoulder served on garlic bread with kansas city or carolina style barbecue sauce on top, a nice dry rubbed texas style beef brisket is wonderful as well!

I like all barbecue . . . I don't discriminate.
Unless it's too spicy . . . I can't take anything too spicy.

I love BBQ, all kinds. My friend made some ribs last weekend and used a Cali dry rub. It was really good. It had just the right sweet and spice for me.

I prefer a sweet barbecue, sauce not rubbed. Is that Kansas Style? honestly not sure of the differences.

Just reading this thread is making me hungry!!
I prefer an Australian BBQ. This includes, steak, sausages, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and corn on the cob all cooked on the bbq.
And before anyone asks "No" I don't regularly "Throw another shrimp on the barbie mate!!"

Any excuse to use my cast-iron smoker!
I'm doing a wedding reception catering this Saturday and they specifically asked me to make pulled pork. I will rub and marinate the shoulders on Thursday and smoke them all day Friday in the barrel smoker i scored at a local flea market, the saturday I will pull it all and reheat in the drippings with just a touch of bacon. I make at least ashoulder extra for myself everytime because I will easily eat that much on my own.

Since most of my family is from eastern NC, i'm partial to the pulled pork with the vinegar based white sauce. Hoooo baby. i like rub on the ribs though, but i'm pretty much happy with any pork product that comes with hushpuppies and sweet tea.

I like my pulled pork broiled in a mixture of 50% beer, 50% coca cola. with added worstershire, garlic, onions and black pepper. Pulled on a nice hard bun with a little red bbq sauce.

I'm from south Louisiana, so the spicier the better. I like all types of BBQ, but when doing it myself, I definitely go with sauce. Vinegar-based sauce (family recipe) for marinating and slow-cooking. I like KC Masterpiece for general BBQ-sauciness.

I love barbecue. Ribs, sausages, pulled pork, chicken of various parts, I'm big on it all. I love sweet, thick, tangy, peppery sauce that requires a pound of napkins.
