Well, I guess I should stop trolling so much and introduce myself.
Hey all, I'm Chris! I hail from Michigan, lived here all my life. No, I'm not from Detroit. That is the boil on the ass of Michigan. I live in the THUMB of Michigan, heart of it, says so on the sign at the edge of town. As one the old guys around here (born in '71), I've been reading comics for about 36 years-ish. No, I don't remember my first issue, not because I'm old, its because my first comics was a STACK of books. As most I got into all the super-hero cartoons, the Marvel ones then the Super Friends (great theme music). It really pissed my Dad off that I read comics, that encourge me to read even more.
Flash forward to the now... I still go to my LCS in Millington, MI, Sweet Lou's, great shop, be amazed at what you find there. I have corrupted my daughters (11 & 9) with comics. Just last week, we made up a comic box for the both of them to have in their bedrooms. They are very happy to have books they can freely read. I loaded them up with DC Kids and Marvel Kids book. Though the eldest wants to read the "adult" level books.... Thinkin' I'll start her of right with "The Man of Steel" John Byrne mini series.
Thanks all, see on the forums!
