After hearing a couple of recent podcasts on PKD Media and CGS, I wonder how the hell we can get Kirby Krackle, H2Awesome or Adam Warrock to a Texas con?

Frank worked the convention center and could maybe talk about logistical caveats. There's Kickstarter and con support to maybe provide funding. Even if it's not feasible, it would be interesting and educational to discuss the topic. Just a thought...

As always, the Con eps. are my fav HHW eps. as Maine gets literally NO decent Cons.

Sadly I have been sick as a dog this week so My stuffy headed self could barely hear the Shatner Q&A. When I am well I will go back and give a good listen. Way to land the first question though Brad.

Sounded like a pure blast, nice work boys.

I want to go to WWT on Saturday for sure. I think Frank and I may be able to pull it off, but not sure about Bill.

Talking to Shatner was very unreal for me.

I definitely won't be there. I'm actually working all weekend, and I can't pass up that opportunity.

I wanted to go. It would have been nice to have met others from the boards, and get some deals on back issues. I want to support more cons in Texas. It seems like there's one every other week in the northeast, the way the CGS guys travel to them.

However, I ended up going to Guitar Center on Thursday and dropped some heavy dimes on a sweet acoutic guitar, so there went by con money....ohhh, but I love my new guitar... :D

I've always wanted to learn how to play bass.

I used to be a drummer, but I love the bass.

When I say I "play" bass, it is in the loosest sense of the word. I am a beginner and mostly have learned thru tab, but I love it!

Nice pics dude!!

Sweet looking guitar, I haven't drummed in years, I also used to play percussion (rattles and shakers, etc) in a Big Band a few years ago and loved it.

Ha! Okay, if you want to know the truth, I actually bought this Taylor and a Fender (Squire) Jazz bass...so, yes I'm broke and will be making "same as cash payments" for the next year.

Image

Although doesn't look fancy, it has a sweet mid-range tone, is an acoustic/electric and has FANTASTIC action!! I have a cousin that specializes in fixing acoustic musical instruments, and I'm sure that he can make a minor adjustment to lower the action a little more. This is the easiest acoustic guitar I've ever played on. bare cords up by the 12th fret sound crisp with no rattle or pain on the fingers!! I love it!! It beat all the high end Martins and Gibsons I tried out. I wasn't even looking to buy, but I couldn't pass it up. You know when you've met the right guitar...know what I mean?

I actually looked at a Tobias, but the Squire was way less expensive and it also "felt right"....(Yes, I'm impulsive...but despite this spending spree, I'm getting better)

The Tobias is sweet bass, but I just needed a cheap bass to record...no fancy slapping and popping from me.

Cool to know there are more musicians on the boards...we should form our own Kirby Krackle. JK
