This week the guys talk about DC’s Flashpoint while Frank phones it in, literally. It is a toe crushing good time.

The most recent appearance of Thomas Wayne's Batman Halloween costume that I know of is in the Absolute Power arc in Superman/Batman.

Without too many spoilers, the whole arc is an alternate timeline. Superman has to go back in time (because the alternate timeline was changed even more) and recruit Bruce Wayne to be Batman again. The door is answered by . . .Batman!? It's actually Thomas Wayne, hosting his annual Halloween party, and Thomas is in costume. We find Bruce hanging out at the pool with his best friend, Tommy Elliot. Bruce is surrounded by models in bikinis. The Playboy Bruce Wayne is not a persona, it's who he really is.

Even better, and possibly the best part of the whole arc, is how that alternate/alternate timeline is created. I thought it was freaking fantastic.

I want to talk real quick about Bill's general wonderings on how Flashpoint might fit in with the Brightest Day timeline.

The great thing about a story like Flashpoint, is that in the grand scheme of things, the entire story can take place in a fraction of a second in real time.

Think Back to the Future 2. The new Flashpoint reality is just like the alternate 1985 where Biff has taken over, killed Marty's dad, and married him mom. That was all done away with just by going back to 1955 and fixing the one thing that started the new timeline.

The very same thing can happen in Flashpoint.

The show was great even with Frank phoning it in!

The anonomous bit from the caller about Frank seemed revealing. I always thought of Frank as a great guy. Since hearing this episode, I have done some research and found out that Frank's "nice guy" persona may be false as the caller claimed. I have discovered the following factoids that may or may not be true:

- Frank once stole a necklace from a high end Hollywood jewlery store while on probation.
- Frank once caused a hooker he hired to lock herself in the closet of a high end New York hotel becasue she was afraid he might hurt her. He was going crazy on a coke induced binge screaming at her that she stole his watch.
- Frank was beaten by his wife with a golf club as he tried to escape his Florida home due to her finding out he had been having affairs all over while on the PGA tour.
- Frank fathered a child with his housekeeper while his wife was pregnant, only to reveal this to her years later after leaving the govenor's office and resulting in breaking up his 25 year marriage.
- Frank was caught on tape smoking Salvia from a bong.
- Frank cheated on his Oscar winning wife with a tattoo covered Nazi loving porn star.
and finally....
- Frank was the second gunman on the grassy knoll that day in Dallas!
