Easily my favorite character on the show... and not just because I was homeschooled either.

Pam and Lafayette crack me up the most. I wish Pam had more scenes but the ones she has she manages to steal.

Layfette is a scream, everytime he says "Hooker" I just crack up laughing. Pam is also great, I just finished listening to the audiobooks for the series and I have to say the books get way darker then I would have thought. I do have questions regarding how much of the relationship that will develop between Sookie and Eric that will be played out in the TV series. The books make Bill a follower and not much of vamp that holds a lot of respect in Sookie's eyes. I hate that part of the books but since the author is now writing three more books to the series I can almost guess what the final outcome will be in the books. This season is based off of the book "Club Dead" and they are adding in elements of the 4th and 5th books with Altcide's character and the Donna Pelt story line is also being used a lot this season. I love the show, but I do not have HBO so I have to wait until it comes out on dvd or itunes.

I'm going to have to check out the books. Everyone seems to love them. I'm ok that they are different from the show.

My wife had just finished reading the Twilight books and was stressing out over the move to Dallas, so I bought True Blood S1 on DVD. Thought it would be all goth and emo with boy candy like the Twilight stuff seems to be. Happy it wasn't!

We're house-sitting for friends who have HBO, and we're trying to figure out how to catch up on S3 episodes without getting billed. Anyone know how?

I am going to have to order HBO so I can watch the show.
