Thats tough news about Jamie D. I really hope he gets better soon. My grandfather passed away from cancer and my mother battled cancer twice. Its a very tough thing. Get well soon Jamie.

OK, so that begs the question . . . why do it? Seriously . . . I was on Twitter for a bit back when I had a podcast and it was addicting . . . but pointless.

Life is short people. Back away from the Twitter. Spend time with your loved ones.

OK, here's the thing. I think those that use Twitter for what I perceive as its purpose, posting news and updates related to a project such as a podcast, movie, book, whatever . . . keep on keeping on.

To those of you who spend their time tweeting about what you ate for lunch or that you had to use the restroom . . . knock it off.

Twitter is an outlet for the voice in your head. You know the one, when you come up with something so clever you wanted to share it, but no one is around. Now you can share it with the world, or at least your followers.

Be warned, it's also an outlet for the other voice in your head. The one that sounds funnier when you think it but not so much when you say it out loud. A double edged sword, twitter is.

As for Twitter - I avoid posting about politics, sports, swearing and anything that draws unwanted attention to myself. I still do those things, but the intent is there.
