I read Wonder Woman #601 and honestly I'm not sure if I like it or not. She doesn't even seem like the same character to me. What do you guys think?

I'm not touching it. If people buy it then DC will think it works and do it again. I was not a fan of WW and the change did not help. Another reason I'm not getting it is if I start to like it and they change it back it would just piss me off. So it is best if I stay away.

I read it--I think while her situation's changed immensely, she still has a lot in common with her past version (which we even see in a dream sequence). Overall I really dug it.

OKay here is my take, I have no clue if this is where JMS is going but i f he is i think he is brilliant for doing it this way.

Wonderwoman is stuck in an alternate Reality of sorts, A reality that lost favor with the gods who burnt down Paradise Island, and now she is trying to find her way back. There were moments in this issue where she remebers the glories of her past but has no clue why or even who that person is.

I think this is an analogy for the character overall. Where the Gods are Fanboys and girls. The Title has been languishing in numbers for some time now where at one point it was a top seller. Sure in those low numbers periods there were flashes of the brilliance that was the past, it all goes to shit again.

I think JMS is using this first arc as a metaphor of Trying to bring Wonder Woman Back to the prominence she deserves not just in story with the DC Universe but also with comic fans.

Or i am just talking out of my ass.

After reading it a second time, I like it. I just can't say I love it. I'm just not sure if it's something I need to read. I'm always looking to make room on my comic list for something new. I'm beginning to think it's time for Wonder Woman to make room for something else.
