Let me start this off with a qualifier, I am a Grant Morrison Apologist. 9.8 times out of 10 i think his shit doesn't stink. That being said, I am really trying to wrap my head around this book and one minute i think i got and love it and love what is being done, then something happens that makes me want to pull my hair out.
So what about the rest of you? Do you like this book? Do you see where Grant is taking us?

I'm usually on the other end with Morrison, but I have enjoyed this book. No idea what's going on, but I like the Batmen from all different ages thing.

To me it feels like an elseworld story and I like it. But, when I try to stick it in with the "Bigger" story I hate it.

I like a lot of Morrisons batman stuff but I wouldn't say it was my favorite. I have really enjoyed Batman & Robin. Although I haven't been reading any of the return of Bruce Wayne, I could honestly care less and that is coming from a long long time Batman fan! I want Dini back on Batman like his run before R.I.P. and I will be happy!

I haven't read any of this series, and I think what has kept me at bay is seeing Bruce Wayne outside of his element. Is it jarring to see him as something other than Batman?

I've read the first two issues. I'll keep at it.
It's fairly interesting so far . . . that is until they start talking about time (yawn!)

I was so-so on the 1st 2 issues, but I loved the 3rd. That was the first one that I thought really embraced the Elseworldsesque potential of the story setup. I am more than ready for Bruce to be back and be Batman again. I don't like Dick.

Come on Mr. Shaw, Honestly, Who doesn't like Dick?
But seriously it is when they are talking about the time bullet and all that stuff that i am enjoying, when they get into the actual time period is when i am bored.

I don't buy Batman. I don't read much Morrison. And I don't have much interest in this. But I am curious as to how much of this parallels Captain America.
Cap gets "killed". Batman gets killed. Cap travels through time. Is Batman doing the same? Is his explanation more plausible than Brubaker's time bullet for Cap or, with Morrison, am I asking for too much Sense for a comic? What are your opinions, those that are reading and following Batman.

I'm in the minority I suppose in that I really don't care for Morrison's work, and I REALLY don't like this series. I was ok with the elseworld-ish nature of it, but the individual issues don't stand up well on their own like a good elseworld should. They just serve as a convenient place for Bruce to regain a memory or two. Then he moves on with little resolution to the period piece. As soon as it was revealed that Bruce was a pube-covered robot at the end of time... my brain shut down.
I'm torn, as co-hosting a Batman themed podcast I feel that I should be more objective and make every effort to enjoy each book. But Having been burned by RIP, Final Crisis, and now pube-robot time-travel Batman... I just have nothing nice to say about Morrison or "The Return". I'm counting the days until Bruce is back and all of this can be forgotten.
In an attempt to find SOMETHING positive to say, I'm very much looking forward to the issue penciled by Lee Garbet, as he's doing some great work on Batgirl. I have little hope for the plot, but I think it will look pretty.

I'm so-so with the book. Morrison is very hit for miss for me. I like the elseworld feel but there is better stuff out there. If you read the Batman and Robin books it makes it better.

I continue to think the concept is cool even though I have no idea whats going on.

I just read the first two. I'll be sticking with it, but I hope there are some solid reveals in the near future. So far it feels like filler.

Go read the RIP Morrison tale at your LCS today. It's the lost chapter, so to speak.

I'm enjoying it. It's a little hard to follow at times but I can live with that.
