Latest casting/character info for Dark Knight Rises

Apparently Tom Hardy is playing Bane, which I think is a great idea. The guy's a good actor and Bane could have real potential in the Nolan-verse.
Unfortunately, Anne Hathaway is playing Catwoman. I'm glad Selina is in the film, but I have no reason to believe Hathaway is a good choice.

We discuss these choices on the upcoming ep 42, so I don't want to spoil anything. But I can say that we know it'll be better than the last time we saw Bane on film...

I dunno--I'm sure Anne Hathaway's a great actress, but she's definitely not the first thing that comes to mind when I think of "uber-badass, ultra-seductive femme fatale." As for Hardy...he's a great actor, and I liked him in Inception, but I do find it odd that they turned a character who, while having white roots, is prominently known as a Latino character and having him played by a British man (plus I had him down PAT as Hugo Strange).
But, despite my concerns, Nolan's got more than enough juice to let me give this the benefit of the doubt.

Apparently not

Don't get me wrong, I love a little side-boob, but usually when celebs show that much skin, it's on oscar night and they intentionally wear something outlandishly skimpy so that E! and Joan Rivers have something scandalous to talk about. This doesn't seem like one of "those" dresses, more like her knockers are just flailing about in there.
Agree about the hair color. I didn't care if the actress chosen was naturally dark-haired or not, but the character in the film damn well should be.

Since the movie is just starting to shoot, I thought I'd start a thread updating about the latest info from time to time.
Here's some new photos from the set of the movie in India.
Lazarus Pit!!!

Through some awesome viral marketing--including finding words in a chanting sound file on the official web-site, tweeting them as a hash-tag, with the imaging slowly being built up as avatars from the twitter users, we have the first official image of Bane.
I kinda miss the Luchador mask (probably makes sense since he's not being played by a Latin man anymore, but it still looked cool), but it looks like the mask is a Venom apparatus that pumps the stuff into his nose and mouth, which makes it pretty damn creepy.
I also find the chant itself pretty interesting, "The Fire Rises." Maybe I'm thinking too deep into it, but mixed with some of the set photos we saw of that mysterious pit in India, I couldn't help but think of "Lazarus Pit."
Either way, the viral marketing has officially started!

Yes, you can see more of...the shadows, I guess?
People were going nuts over this the day it was released. I don't get it. It's shoulders and half a mask. We're still too far out for me to be proper excited.

Rumors about another actor coming in to shoot stuff, according to .
If it's true, then there's a good chance that it means what I think it means, which I'm really happy about.

Here's my question: if, as rumored, there's supposed to be a Lazarus Pit and a resurrected Ra's, how exactly is that going to be explained for the quasi-realistic Nolan-verse?

With SCIENCE! The Lazarus pit is some previously undiscovered goo with healing and/or anti-aging properties. Ra's wasn't dead yet at the end of Batman Begins, but has been taking mud baths to recover. Something like that.
