So with my recent turn into manga, i am loving this new venue to get my illustrated stories,

So far i have read Pluto Vol 1 & 2, Deathnote Vol 1, and Priest Vol 1.

Pluto is an amazing story that i think anyone that is a fan of sequential art should read.

Deathnote is a very interesting tale that i think if you like things like Hack/Slash or Dexter you would enjoy. It also has some police procedural stuff as well as a suspenseful mystery as well.

Priest was my least favorite of the bunch but it was still very good. IT is set in the American West and has a priest that has sold half his soul to the devil in order to gain the power to battle the undead that are infesting the land. Pretty decent horror story, but i don't think the writing is up to par with either of the other two stories.

Today i am venturing into the world of Akira.

What manga have you read and enjoyed. Lets use this thread to help open other people's eyes in a medium that we thought was just for those annoying Emo kids and teen girls in pigtails that clog up the aisles in book stores.

I just started Rebirth I'm on the three vol. I really enjoy King of Hell. It's about warrior who is reverted back to his younger self and only 1/10th as powerful. its been very interesting. The best way to describe it is Dragon Ball Z except when there is dialogue it makes sense and helps the plot. It's simple and fun. Death-note is really good, I enjoy it a lot. Finally Berserk, it's just flat out good.

I've heard many good things about Pluto so I will check that out next.

In my mind any discussion of manga if not beginning with, must include at the very least Lone Wolf and Cub, Samurai Executioner and Path of the Assassin.

Got about half way through the first volume of Akira Last night and holy shit is it good. About a future world and we are following this group of Delinquents around. One is kidnapped by one group that is trying to get him to awaken his "Powers" while another is with another group that are the adversaries of the first. The power he is trying to awaken is the Akira, which hasn't been explained yet.

Good shit.
