I went on an Original Art bender...

In the last few months I started getting a few select pieces, and in the last week or two, I've found several pieces that fall into the holy grail category. I don't plan to amass a huge collection of art, but there are several artists that I'd like to own at least one piece from.
It is a Pat Lee page from the Dreamwave Transformers Generation 1 series.

Detective #615
I'm a big fan of Norm Breyfogle's run on Detective and Batman in the late 80's. His version of the Batmobile was very distinctive, so I was happy to find a reasonable page with some good batmobile shots.

GIJoe: Origins #6 - Scarlett kicks some ass

GIJoe: Operation Hiss #3 - Honestly, I'm not getting this series because I've had no interest in the Joe movie-verse comics. However, this piece has great visuals and by itself appears like it could be from just about any incarnation of Joe comics.

Green Lantern v3 #74 & #91
I'm also a big fan of the Kyle / Donna Troy / Jade triangle from the third Green Lantern series. Thus getting these two Darryl Banks pages that deal with those relationships is a neat thing for me.

And finally (for a while)...
A John Romita Jr page from Uncanny X-Men #176 (1983 - Scott and Maddie on their honeymoon fighting a giant squid).

A Walt Simonson page from X-Factor #30 (1988 - Scott and Jean confront Mystique,Destiny,Blob, etc)

A Marc Silvestri page from Uncanny X-Men 251, page 19:

Those GI Joe pages are top notch. Very nice finds.
I'm glad you found a good Norm Breyfogle page, too. A lot of the older issues have a lot of water damage. I bought a Secret Society of Super-Villains page by Rich Buckler about two years ago. It had so much damage to it that I ended up parting with it.
While I'm not really up to date with the X-Universe at all, I can really appreciate the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants panels. I think that may be my favorite page you posted.

Thanks! I was thrilled to find the GIJoe pages too. Those seem particularly hard to find at any price. I've been looking for a long time and almost never see any.
Norm's rendition of Batman is the definitive version in my head. I just loved his run on Detective and Batman. I'd like to find another page or two of his someday.
The Simonson X-factor page is neat because it has so many characters. Plus, the brotherhood as "Freedom Force" played a big role in the x-universe during the mid-to-late 80's. I really like that one. But I've always loved the Scott/Maddie honeymoon issue with the squid. However, Silvestri is likely my favorite artist of all time...
I've decided that my favorite page is whichever one I'm currently looking at

Chris Uminga was offering some weird size 5x17 commissions. You pick the character and he just does whatever he feels with the paper size. Here is mine:

Thanks! I'm super excited about these. Portacio was the artist when I started reading Punisher books. I picked up issue #11 off the spinner rack back in the day, and I immediately got the first 10 issues at my LCS as soon as I could con my grandmother into taking me to the comic shop an hour away

Ahhhh, those were the days! The "Insider Trading" story in issues 8 & 9 was always one of my favorites. I can't tell you how many times I read that one as a kid.

You guys are laying down some insane pages. When you get a chance, . Chime in and see if you thought I was even close to being right.
How about this winner?
The first, yes, FIRST appearance of Egg Head, originally from the 1960's Batman show courtesy of Mr. Eric Jones!

Saw this on CAF -
Also, I got this back in the mail today from Joe Rubinstein. I paid for this in January along with sending the page. Seven months later, I got back the Ra's and Talia al Ghul. I do not recommend getting a sketch from him due to his lateness. He said it woul dbe two weeks, but that obviously was not the case.

Just picked up this shot of Donna Troy from the Green Lantern miniseries "Ion" issue 11, and it's by Greg Tocchini (who is currently doing the art chores on the fantastic mini published by Radical, "The Last Days of American Crime". FYI, if you haven't tried LDOAC, you're missing out.)

I'm really jealous of the X-Men pages. Especially the JRJr.

Some Robert Atkins pages from the GIJoe IDW series: the splash page from issue 3, and issue 6 page 9.

The OA train continues! This is a great page from GI Joe (Marvel) issue #74, page 16 drawn by Ron Wagner. I just like the fact that it has lots of characters as well as action. The Cobra Civil War story is one of my favorites and IMHO the last hurrah before the title took a ninja nose-dive, so I was excited to stumble across this particular piece.

Found a nice shot of Havok from the X-Men by Paul Pelletier,
War of Kings issue 2, page 17.
