When I went this Monday to see the remake of Fright Night (long and short of it...it was removed enough from the original that I was able to enjoy it. Not a perfect movie, but worth a watch), they had a pre-movie short on the making of this film. I was thinking that the title sounded familiar, but I just couldn't place it, so I blew it off as just another redneck group terrorizes the new in town family/new in town family fights back film that I completely dismissed it. But now that you have pointed out that it is a remake of a Peckinpah film done by a left-leaning hack director (He made The Contender about a Congresswoman who had a deviant sexual past that gets brought up when she is nominated to be VP and Commander-In Chief, the Genna Davis as Hillary progenitor President), I now have reason to have more than just apathy for it. I have not seen this film, but it has now been added to my Netflix queue, and I might just seek it out online if the rest of the parts are accessible on YouTube. From the opening scene you posted, Chris, it looks like a really intense film, and my knowledge of Peckinpah tells me that the violence will not be shyed away from.
