Hello! Chris from Two True Freaks here!
We're really excited to be here and seeing all these new faces! I really like how everything is laid out and am really looking forward to gathering all our usual freaks here and meeting all the folks here!
As far as what we do, well... it's complicated.
We've got a BUNCH of "quality" podcasts here under the TTF/DiManzicorp banner.
The flagship shows are our Monthly Mondays:
STAR WARS MM- Covers all SW, but focuses on the Marvel comics and the weekly Clone Wars cartoons.
STAR TREK MM- All things Trek with a featured TOS and TNG episode and an issue of the DC comic each episode.
COMICS MM- Features Kirkman's The Walking Dead, Alan Moore's Swamp Thing and an issue by issue look at John Byrne's Marvel work.
WILDCARD MONDAY- The topic is a free for all, it literally could be anything.
Scott and Michael Bailey have a couple comic related shows:
BACK TO THE BINS- Back issue madness as Scott and Michael look at comics from the past.
TALES OF THE JSA- Well, I think the title speaks for itself, this is a humorous and loving look at the Justice Society Of America.
Scott and Chris each have solo shows:
DEATH AND THE ACRID SMELL OF GUNSMOKE:THE JONAH HEX PODCAST- Scott explores the under-appreciated Jonah Hex comics.
THE MEDIA MASOCHIST- Chris subjects himself to the multi-media equivalent of waterboarding for your amusement.
And to fill in the blanks:
THE FIVE-MINUTE FREAK- Could be Chris, could be Scott or maybe even both! Could be about ANYTHING.
We have also been experimenting with some live broadcasts and internet radio. This is up sporadically and when we figure out a schedule, we'll post it up. We plan to do some exclusive content there. I guess I would describe our podcasts as kind of focusing on humor and "geek war stories". Scott and I tell a lot of stories of our friendship growing up in upstate New York. We tend to do mostly longer podcasts in the 1- 3 hour range, but Scott's Jonah Hex podcast clocks in around a half-hour or so. We have NEVER had a 5 minute Five Minute Freak!
Let's see, Scott and I are both fans of movie scores, so you'll hear a lot of appropriate soundtrack music in the background of most of our podcasts. We got's all kind of guest freaks and regulars who show up on our show regularly. God, now that I'm thinking of it, I guess we're like a Two True Freak Three Ring Circus pitching our tents up here. It's a circus with no ringmaster that's entirely made up of clowns and (barely) trained monkeys, but that will soon become apparent.........
