Just saw inception, and wow its an amazing film.
The soundtrack, another Hans Zimmer score, is beautiful. It gives you that dream feel, like the superman score makes you feel like your flying. It also has a bit of a thriller and dark side to it. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Here's one I thought of this morning: A View To A Kill.

The best Bond title song in nearly a decade, and one of Barry's best overall scores for the series. The music has a sort of dark vibe to it, and the very judicial use of electric guitar really compliments it (and is very appropriate for a score from 1985). The music for the Golden Gate Bridge finale is one of my all-time favorite cues.

I have been listening the crap out of the Raiders of the Lost Ark and Temple of Doom soundtrack lately. GREAT stuff.

I am the co-host of the TWO TRUE FREAKS PODCAST . I have been alternately described as a "hellish jumble of mismanaged parts" and a "humble God".

Second (or third) McCreary's BSG soundtracks.

On my sony Walkman:

AIRWOLF by Sylvester Levay and Mark J Cairns (fan made release with an additional CD from TV composer Levay)
BUCK ROGERS (vinyl) and BSG (78) 4 disc set by Stu Phillips - great, sweeping Sci-Fi TV music from rather lacklustre shows
BLADE RUNNER by Vangelis - love this score.
CASINO ROYALE by David Arnold - Arnold adores John Barry's work and his Bond stuff just exudes homage without being slavish to the past.
DR HORRIBLE's SING ALONG BLOG - more funny stuff from Joss Whedon
RAIDERS - Williams - what more need be said? Superman may be my favourite Williams score, but this and EMPIRE are right up there.
RED - Christophe Beck - not really given this a good listen yet but I enjoyed the music in the film.
STAR TREK - various scores from the original TV show. Debate may still rage over the best TREK show, but the original had the best incidental music.
WRATH OF KHAN by James Horner. A perennial favourite (and if anyone could point me to an mp3 of the expanded release I'd be most grateful. It's so damned expensive over here.)
TREK Motion Picture by Jerry Goldsmith. The 3 disk bootleg is really good but the official 2 disk release has a good supplementary CD with interviews and such with the cast.
SUPERMAN RETURNS by John Ottman. His Planet Krypton may (may) be better than the original. 2 disk expanded.
THE TERMINATOR DEFINITIVE EDITION by Brad Fiedel. Forget that abomination that was released in 84 and glom on to this.
THE FLASH by Shirley Walker. A great score for a much missed show.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK by Joe Harnell. Score for the TV show. So many memorable tracks on here for fans of the series not least the so bad it's brilliant disco version of the main theme!
THE INCREDIBLES by Mike Giacchino. Came to my notice on the TV show ALIAS (still trying to track that soundtrack down as well) and has been doing some solid work since.

Comic book podcast? Okay...
Green Lantern comic book podcast? Better...
Green Lantern comic book podcast about the 1990's comic run with an emphasis on Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner? Now that's finding your niche!

Come listen every Friday at !

It's a real shame the theme to ENTERPRISE sucks moose as the actual Credit Montage is really good.

No, Joe, you're not alone; I like DS9, too. I just haven't rewatched it since it ended so my memories of it are a little rusty. I do remember thinking the theme music was much better in seasons 1-3, before they "gussied it up" with drumbeats and such.
