I am the co-host of the TWO TRUE FREAKS PODCAST . I have been alternately described as a "hellish jumble of mismanaged parts" and a "humble God".

Listening to the show now. Not a fan of Duursema, either. I remember having a few issues of Incredible Hulk and X-Factor that she did in the 90s, and didn't care for her style. Didn't seem to mesh with the Marvel Universe. Maybe I'd like her Star Wars work better.

I was just messaging with her on Facebook today and she is appearing at Star Wars Celebration!! I'm pretty jazzed about getting to meet her. As much as I might not have cared for this back in the day, but I REALLY dig her "modern day" Star Wars work for Dark Horse. Like a LOT!!

just listened to today's show. great stuff as always. Flint seems to be one of those new to comics characters that just faded away into obscurity never to return in the comic again. Rik Duel and Chihido only appear in one more issue, while Dani gets several more appearances at the end of the series.

One thing that always bugged me about the Marvel series was that despite Mark Hamill having brown hair in Empire and Jedi, the comics version always had bright yellow hair. Weird.

Cynthia Martin art doesn't start until issue 94. Sal Buscema and Tom Palmer do issue 93

Wonder if anyone else has read J.W Rinzler's epic Making of Star Wars and Making of Empire books. forgive me if these were discussed on a past show that I didn't listen to yet. those books are a must read for all Star Wars fans. he also did a Indiana Jones book on all the films.

Hey, I was mentioned. Yeah.

Anyway, Star Wars 91 was the only Star Wars comic book I owned. I was and still am, more of a capes fan than other comics, although I have ventured at times. I remember reading and re-reading that issue. I had forgotten Lando acting all scared until it was brought up in the synopsis. I wish I knew where it was now. I think it got lost in a move at one point.

Also, Chris, when are you going to photoshop yourself and Scott into a funny picture for this one? I looked at it, and I believe, from what I have heard from some of your descriptions, that is just a normal picture of you two. :D

Sorry. Couldn't help it.

The STAR WARS MONTHLY MONDAY Thread

Postby JonathanCrites » Thu Aug 23, 2012 2:30 pm

News from Dark Horse Panel at Celebration:
- Dark Times, Darth Vader, Dawn of the Jedi and Agent of the Empire all continuing.
- Knight Errant coming to an end.
- Darth Maul and Lost Tribe of the Sith to start soon.
- More Purge comics on the way.
- Apparently the new Star Wars ongoing from Brian Wood will NOT be a reboot or ignore continuity (although how it will work in such an already crowded era is a mystery to me).
- Perhaps most importantly to this board: TWO omnibi of European and rare Star Wars comics will be printed in 2013. I have not bought a single omnibus yet (I don't care for the smaller format) but I may have to for this set.

I would buy this promo art for Star Wars: Detours as a poster.

Hi guys:

Am having a problem finding a number for your podcasts and I was wondering of you could help me out.

I'm missing EPS 16,18,20-26 and 29.

24-26 Image pics are shown but their are no link to the mp3 download option.

I'm also having the same type of problem with your All-Star Squadron podcast.

I hope you can help me. I'll check back this weekend for a possible update.

My 5 year old and I watched Star Wars tonight. I think he enjoyed it. I am sure I will be getting lots of questions tomorrow as I did not let him ask any during the movie. I needed to have him watch it because he is turning into a huge fan due to all the Star Wars stuff around. Heck, his 5th birthday was a Star Wars party with all the kids getting Jedi robes and lightsabers made from swimming noodles.

Scott that novel actually sounds pretty good. I still have a hard time getting into the EU novels.

Its funny because I think the Star Trek stuff I've read is pretty good but the Star Wars stuff just seems off. Maybe its me..

The Stormtrooper helmet on the cover of #94 looks like the one Dumb Donald would have worn if he'd been drafted by the Empire.
