glad the regular format is back. nothing against the special episodes, but i need my monthly Marvel Star Wars fix ! looking forward to all the future discussions as, to the best of my knowledge, this era (and most of the marvel stuff) of SW comics has never been discussed on any other podcast or forum

The Marvel Star Wars comics are, IMO, the very heart of Two True Freaks! It was the first thing I knew I wanted to cover when we started the show. Glad you're along for the ride!

Have you considered covering the new ongoing monthly STAR WARS series by Dark Horse after the Marvel run finishes? Or do you have other stuff you want to do first?

Re: other work by Cynthia Martin, you wondered what character her Marvel Comics Presents work (in #s 60-67) was on - it was Poison, the character she and Steve Gerber introduced in Web of Spider-Man Annual #4.

Also, I don't think you mentioned the story she did in Girl Comics #2, from 2010, which was a Dr Strange story.

I saw this at Walmart today:

It's a 16 month calendar featuring covers from Marvel's Star Wars! It's oversized (11 x 17) so the covers appear to not be cropped at all. You can probably find it in the calendars at your local retailers!

I just got my copies of those old stories out of storage and I read ahead as well. Initially I was hesitant on the Cynthia Martin artwork, but looking at it now, I actually think it is some of the best of the series. Yes, it is very stylized, but she captures the expressions and body language of the main cast so well, that the anime style is easy to overlook. And Leia has never been drawn better than in the gown that the Zeltrons designed for her. Yowza!
