Uh War Horse and Tintin. It's Speilberg so it has to be Williams.

I've been listening to a few of the New Series Doctor Who scores. Damn, they are fantastic.

Hey Scott - is this worth picking up? How does it compare to the other Classic Trek scores?

Thanks Scott. I have found out from listening to the show for a few years now that your taste in scores falls very close to mine. So having your input defiantly helps. I know I've said it before and I'm sure I will say it again but you and the show have really opened my eyes to the greatness of Classic Trek. So I am always keen to get your input on anything Classic Trek related.

I watched The Adventures of Tintin with the family last night. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the film. The music was a big highlight for me. The character of Tintin is very much an Indiana Jones style character with him being a reporter rather than a professor in his day job. The John Williams score for the film was VERY reminiscent of his work for the Indiana Jones movies. At times I felt like I was watching a Young Indiana Jones film. I will be picking up this score for sure.

I am in the wait list at the library for the TinTin and War Horse scores. I have gone a little film score crazy recently by picking up the scores for Battlestar Galactica (mini series, seasons 1-4 & Razor/the Plan), Godzilla 50th Anniversary, Star Wars Episodes II & III, Lost seasons 1 & 2 and Super 8.

Unfortunately it's just the original releases. The Episode II score was apparently a Target exclusive edition with a bonus musical cue - Anakin in the Droid Factory.

I have the two disc editions of Episodes I and IV-VI. I had pirated copies from college of Episodes II and III for a while but lost the hard drive they were on. I have also picked up the Shadows of the Empire score, the Clone Wars movie score and the Christmas in the Stars album (not a score but related).

The CAPTAIN AMERICA score is growing on me. I listened to it again today after watching the movie on Blu Ray on Monday night.

Cool; gotta check them both out. What other soundtracks has Silvestri worked on?

Holy crap, the Avengers theme is awesome. Distinctly Silvestri. Only problem is that I can't really find anything to latch on to and hum from it yet.

If anyone hasn't heard it yet, here's a convenient link:
