Just finished listening to both the STMM episodes and I like the split episodes.

Great Job guys

When I first saw Wink of an Eye I had the same problems with the episode as you guys did. The issue of the transporter, the phaser fire the amount of time Kirk spent accelerated but it never occurred to me that Rael had a limp noodel. OMG I busted out laughing when Chris referred to Kirk as "Big Dick Captain"

My biggest gripe with the episode has been mentioned before, the fact that the Enterprise crew did not notice the phaser fire on the bridge.

I enjoy the split.

Though my memory is a bit hazy on one thing...is the first appearance of the Stargazer in season one?

Tony Isabella, the writer of the two issues of the Redjac story we discussed this episode, friended me on FaceBook and I sent him a link to the episode telling him how much we dug his story. I'll let you know if I hear anything back.

From Tony Isabella --

"Thanks for the link and the kind words on my work. Truth be told, I found original Trek pretty easy to write for. Those characters were always in my head as I wrote the scripts, so I could get their speech patterns correct without struggling over it.

You might want to check out THE CASE OF THE COLONIST'S CORPSE, the Star Trek novel I wrote with Bob Ingersoll. I think you'll enjoy it. "

Anybody read this book? I'm gonna seek it out!

Leonard Nimoy, who for years denied even playing Galvatron in TFTM (at least until he figured out that Transfans will pay money for stuff just like Trekkies) is now playing Sentinel Prime in Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.

Great show. I think I fall more into Shag's camp for this one though. I think its a pretty rousing adventure witht the TNG crew even with the not so subtle allusions to Melville. I can understand your points though Chris, and the next time I'm on Skype with you I need to hear you go into detail on why you like Insurrection better than First Contact.

And slain by the bloody axe I wail!"
