Hi my name is Chris and I'm from Sydney, Australia. Im 27 years old and married and have been collecting comic books for over 15 years, mainly Marvel titles, but especially Spider-Man and Daredevil. Not collecting much new stuff, only Amazing Spider-Man, but getting more and more into the old Marvel stories of the 70's and 80's. Spidey is my favourite character, with Daredevil and Iron Man a close second and third.

Big into sci-fi, including the usual - Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Smallville, Transformers, Doctor Who, The Avengers (the UK series) but while not sci-fi (unless you count Moonraker), Im also massive James Bond fan.

My favourite Star Trek series is TNG (having grown up on the TOS movies, but mainly on the TNG series) and then progressed from there to TOS, DS9, VOY and ENT. ENT is IMHO the most underated of all the Trek shows.

I love all the Star Wars films, both original trilogy and prequel and I love, love, love Star Wars PC Games, including Jedi Knight, Jedi Outcast, Rouge Squadron, Knights of the Old Republic. BTW, I'm an old school PC gaming fan, not so much of a console fan, though I do have a soft spot for the Sega Master System (Alex the Kidd!) and Sega Mega Drive (Genesis). My all time favourite game is hard to pick, but I think for nostalgia value and the one that I keep coming back to play is Star Wars Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight; its a awesome awesome game! Other games that I love include Age of Empires, Rise of Nations, Doom, No One Lives Forever 1 & 2, Cossacks, Star Wars: Battlefront, Star Wars: Empire at War, Batman Arkham Asylum, Quantum of Solace, NightFire, Bloodstone, Sim City 2000 and 3000 and Red Alert.

Also, love a good political thriller movie!

I discovered TTF through the Spider-Man Crawlspace Podcast (which was at the time the only podcast I listened to), but one of the co-host (I think it was Kevin) who mentioned TTF and I checked it out - I became instantly addicted and is now the Podcast that I listen to the most.

My name is Stan, I'm 45, and married to a lovely woman who indulges me in just about everything. We have 2 sons (21 & 23) who have no real interest in comics, although the youngest will read Simpsons comics from time to time. There are also 4 dogs: Ozzie, a miniature rat terrier, Kirbie, Maggie and Rilie, all miniature dachshunds. There were some fish once upon a time... the tank sits in the basement, a monument to the truth that some people shouldn't have fish.

My dad is responsible for my comic book addiction. Many years ago, he taught me to read with copies of Archie, Sad Sack, Casper and assorted others, sitting under an oak tree in our front yard. Had he known what he was planting the seeds for, I might well be illiterate today!

I enjoy movies of most genres. Among my favorites are The Fifth Element (my wife hates it!), Iron Man, Tombstone, Young Frankenstein and the Star Wars series. I saw Star Wars on a gigantic screen at a drive-in when it opened in '77, and you young people will have to use the power of Google to find out exactly what a drive-in is. Or rather, what they were. Anyway, I also enjoy reading fiction, with quite a bit of science fiction and fantasy thrown in.

I listen to a wide variety of music, but my heart belongs to metal. My mom gave me a love for big band, my father for country and my brothers for rock and roll. Most awesome instrument ever? The bagpipe. My mom's family were Scottish, so maybe I'm biased.

Dr. Who may well be Britain's greatest contribution to the world. Too bad they also gave us the Spice Girls.

Finally, I enjoy cooking. Okay, it's mostly on the grill or smoker, but it's still cooking. I smoke a mean brisket, if I do say so myself.

Hello,
Long time freaks listener, first time poster. My name is Greg Barr I'm 36 years old married with 1 child. I've been married seven years to a beautiful, patient enabler. My daughter Willow is 3 years old and is a huge Hello Kitty fan, but she is comming around on liking the man of steel. I was born and raised in Kingston Ontario, Canada. I currently live and work in Ottawa Canada. My first exposure to scifi came with seeing Star Wars in '77 at the ripe age of 3 and a half. I was hooked! Then at Christmas of '78 I got the earlybird action figure set along with anything else Star Wars my parents could find. I remember watching Battlestar Galactica on television along with the incredible hulk. Watched the Gantry Lawrence Spiderman cartoons every day at lunch. Saw Superman in 80 and became a life long fan. Soon after I discovered TOS and then TMP. Anything scifi or fantasy from the '70s or '80s I watched it. I picked up Star Trek and Star Wars comics intermittantly until the late 80s Got on board with Superman at Man of Steel and read until after the death and return. I'm a big apes fan (own all 5 movies on Bluray) Logans Run, TOS, ENT, both BSG series, Tron, Dune, Blade Runner. I own Star Wars on VHS twice, on Laser Disc,DVD and soon Bluray.I started out a 4th Doctor fan (thanks PBS!) But the sixth is my favourite despite the horrid costume.

I found the freaks through Bailey whose podcasts have reignited my love of comics. I started with Star Wars monthly Mondays with the Deathtroopers novel review and haven't looked back. Thank you Scott and Chris for reengaging my Trek/Wars love! Though I only own about a thousand comics or so I like hearing reviews on stuff I own and new/old stuff I might not have picked up before. I think some of the first comics I read was Spidey Superstories and the Star Wars treasuries. Freaks have introduced me to Hey kids comics! Which is a fantastic listen! Yes Andrew I am that Canadian listener and I have used the term numpty before.
I am not a number! I am a free man!
Some times you gotta roll the hard six.
They were at the wrong place at the wrong time, naturally they became heroes.

Hello everybody! Josh Baker here. You may recognize me from such TTF episodes as "the World of Indiana Jones" (ep.86) and The Trivia Contest of Champions (ep. 125).
Born and raised in southeast Wisconsin (Kenosha, to be exact). I've been into comics for about, oh, 15 years or so. I dug Spiderman, X-Men and Spawn. Hey, it was the 90's-gimme a break.
I currently own 2 children, Caleb and Edie. Caleb is a pretty big nerd (http://www.youtube.com search for jbaker138) and is huge into Star Wars, the Avengers and Iron Man. Edie is an awesome nerd girl. She likes Iron Man as well. She recognizes the Superman and Indiana Jones themes (and she's just about 2). I'm also expecting my 3rd kid in November. We're naming him Thor. The perfect blend of my wife's Norse heritage and my nerdiness :)
TTF is the one podcast that i get giddy about whenever i get a new episode. I'm glad to know Scott, Chris and Mike. And i'll be listening as long as they put out new shows.

Well, you get more value out of slaves when you own them as children. A lifetime worth of work from them.

My name is Markus Krenn, i'm a 35 year old married guy from Bavaria Germany.
I discovered a box of comics in the attic when i was 5 or 6 years old. Mostly Marvel Comics from the 60's and 70's and
some Vampirella and Monster Comics.
I collected Comics for a few years, but i gave it up since every comic released over here is basicly a trade paperback. You'll get 2-4 US Comics in one book,
and it can be Daredavil/Spiderman or Batman/Superman mixed ones. (They even did that with the Marvel Star Wars ones in the 80's) And that sucks.
Original US Comics are way to expensive over here for collecting, and there aren't any cheap 50cent oder Dollar bins also.

I'm a big movie and videogame geek, even tho it was always harder to get stuff over here. I have to thank the powers that be for DVD's, cause none dubbed Videotapes were like 50 Bucks a piece a few years back (Compared to the 5-10 Dollar german versions, that was alot of money).

Anyway Guys, thanks for the awesome TTF experience.
