The video/comic store I worked at when I was in the 5th grade had a giant poster for Jurassic Pork in the back room. Classy AND classic.

Thoughts about past segments
Keep The Walking Dead as is.
I enjoy the Byrne stuff but if it disappeared I'm not going to be to sad about it.
I don't care about Swamp Thing one way or another usually skip the segment as it is not my cup of tea.
Comic Shop reviews are cool to hear about.
The random jaw jacking that opens the show is entertaining to hear.

Thoughts on ideas yall threw around in the show
Top 5 lists sound like fun.
The idea of a rotating features on different comic series is cool.
Mike as a permanent host sounds like a good fit.

Not any ideas to add but if I do think of any thing will add later

PS that picture is fucking creepy

Regarding: Transformers: The Movie

Chris, it was myself and Hero who were discussing TFTM with you on the Christine episode of TVOSMHTOT. In so far as Leonard Nimoy and Orson Welles, Orson Welles died right about the time that his recording was done. The final line which his character, Unicron, says is "You cannot... destroy... my... destiny!" And it sounds vaguely like Leonard Nimoy's voice (especially "destiny," which sounds almost exactly like Nimoy). It has never been proven either way who performed the line.

Nimoy himself for years on end would refuse to talk about TFTM at conventions and other speaking engagements. Anecdotes say that he would deny ever starring in the film. It was only around the 2000s that he would begin to discuss paying Galvatron again -- mostly because he realized that there was money to be made in Transfans.

Note that TFTM began production during the end of the first year of the cartoon, which is why nearly none of the late second season characters (Aerialbots, Stunticons, Protectobots, Combaticons, etc.) appear in the movie, which is why they go on to survive into the 2005 era. Also, the second wave of characters (Autobots such as Hoist, Grapple, Inferno, Tracks, Perceptor, and Blaster, and Decepticons such as Dirge, Thrust, and Ramjet) survived the film because their toys were still on shelves. Similarly, first wave character Soundwave survived the film so that Hasbro could continue to sell the very popular lower price point Casettes.

Ok, I'm only about 55 minutes into this episode, its great stuff so far. Count me in the Watchmen is very good, not the ABSOLUTE category.

But seriously, the Fandom issue, I feel the need to spiel. First off, F#*k Big Bang Theory, right in its stupid, smarmy ear. I hate that shit. Second, yeah, I'm a Geek, big time, always have been, but the hygiene thing, really, do people forget how to wash? I mean I can understand having a rough night and being so busy the next day you gotta rush out, but c'mon. At least give yourself a Whore's Bath and brush your teeth. 3rd, back to the perception of geekiness, walk into my apartment, its clean, organized and has tokens of the stuff I'm interested in all over the place. Yeah, I've got a 70's Justice League poster above my chair, you know, with the wacky lineup of Firestorm and Red Tornado and Zatanna in the Funky white semi Nun's outfit. You know what's next to that? A picture of Fenway Park, next to that, a 1000 piece AC/DC puzzle my roommate and I killed ourselves assembling, Colonel Sanders is in Bobblehead form in our in wall hutch in the dining room, which for the most part has Nautical themed pictures and displays. You can't nail down most geeks into a corner, and that stereotype pisses me off so much. Believe it or not, we aren't all dirty wallflowers that eat our own boogers and jack off to drawings of Power Girl to pass the time. Most of us have proper social skills and work steady jobs, we commute and live the 9 to 5 life, we go out places, not just to cons and movies. And the Hipster geek thing, piss off. If you wear a Spider-man Tshirt, and I ask you what you think of Spidey's deal with Mephisto and you look like I just pissed in your mom's face, then stop Frontin'! That Tshirt is code for, hey I'm a fan, I share an interest in this property, wanna chat about it? How can I recommend issues to you if its just a facade. No one would wear a Motley Crue tshirt because they thought the cover to Dr Feelgood is the greatest album art ever, it means I'm down as a fan and I want to talk about Tommy Lee's raging use of Cowbell on Too Fast for Love and his sextape with Pam Anderson. I hate posers man, there's no rules anymore. I love the fact that people are digging on Comic Based properties in other media, but how does one know who is really a fan now? I don't want geek culture to shrink back into the darkness, but if its going to expand, it needs to be done with some semblance of actual regard for the properties by the supposed fans of the stuff. Ok, rant over.

and Chris, Kraven's Last Hunt is my Watchmen, or V, or Dark Knight Returns. I was a kid when that hit and it blew me away and showed me what comics could do as mature literature, and they did it with my favorite character(my uncle calls me Spidey or Spider-man to this day, that's how much I loved and still love that character).

Read that shit!

Hello

I get what you're saying about Big Bang Theory, but I find the Leonard character to be quite a decent geek representation - especially for television. He has a decent social life, has steady girlfriends and is quite a likable guy. The others do come across as quite stereotypical but on the whole I find the show funnier than FANBOYS even though that did have KRISTEN BELL in it.

The T-Shirt thing - I'm down with that. I saw a car just today with a SUPERMAN bumper sticker, a SUPERMAN air freshener and VENOM in the back window and I so would have talked to them but you just don't know if you're going to get that glassy look in their eyes.

Down with the SPIDER-MAN love. I'm itching to do another SPIDER-MAN episode of my podcast. There's not enough SPIDER-MAN podcasts out there.

Really great show, one thing your show does I really like is that even if I don't agree with your view points (although I do more often than not) is it's still a great listen, you raised some interesting points such as;

- The Big Bang Theory, really surprised to see you don't like it, you made some really fair points but I don't really think it paints nerds in a bad light and nowadays who isn't a nerd of some kind, how many people have a computer, and MP3 player or use the internet. Plus how many people are total geeks about sports or something? Sure they are all nerds on the show, but they all hold down jobs and all the characters have been in relationships, I don't see the problem myself, and I care for the characters which can't be said for 70%+ of television shows.

- Loved the discussion about Marvel and DC being owned by the same company, rightly or wrongly that could be an awesome concept and never thought about it before, If I had to decide I'd be against it but it's one hell of an idea and if it did happen I really like to see the results.

- I'm well up for Thor and Captain America in fact I'd pay right now to see just what happens in the after the credits `trailer` in both films that's how much of nerd I am.

- Interesting how you said you don't like the Superbowl, I can totally understand where you coming from as I aren't a big sports fan, but I think sometimes when it's just such a big event I get swept up in stuff like that, mind you I follow Detroit Lions so what do I know, and again showing what an idiot I am I only chose that team because of Beverly Hills Cop.

- I've never read Watchmen or seen the film so I can't pick anything I like better than it because I have no really opinion on it although it's set in the 80's I think so I'm sure I'll like it, although if I did have to pick something how about the original UK run of Galaxy Rangers comic all nine issues of it!

Thanks for the great podcast and keep up the good work.
