Whoa!! My wife and I found an AWESOME Goodwill center in our new town. And -- it has comics!! Check out my haul of cheapass back issues --

Blue Ribbon Comics v2 #5 (Archie Comics, 1984) -- Got it out of pure curiousity (and the awesome Kirby/Bucker cover)

Legion of Super-Heroes v4 #83

Saga of Ra's Al Ghul #2

Teen Titans (current series) 63

Teen Titans Go! #s 26, 31, and 55 (for my boys)

Terror Titans #s 2 and 6

And just to reiterate prove the point that I should NEVER, EVER buy comics without consulting my want-lists first (I didn't have 'em with me today), I mistakenly picked up the following issues that I already own (message me if you're interested in any of them and we'll work something out) --

All-Star Superman #8

Batman #365

E-Man v1 #13 (First Comics, 1984)

Legion of Super-Heroes (2005) #s 37 and 38

Legionnaires 62

Add Teen Titans Go! #31 to the "trade fodder" list as well. Logan already has that one. Looks cool, though. I may read it myself. Robin vs. Nightwing!!

Glad you are finding some good hunting spots in the new locale.

We have 3 local comic shops and maybe a guy at the flea market but you won't find comics here in the Goodwill, SA or yard sales. Something to do with the area I guess.

Now don't get me wrong you got a good selection with the places that have comics just that 50 cent bins don't exist instead we have dollar comics. Which is not bad but hearing about 50 cent bins from you guys makes me a little sad.

That is why when I am able to make it out of town I try to find deals.

So far I haven't found any comic shops in FL with 50 cent bins :(

If anyone knows of any within reasonable distance of Orlando, please lemme know!

The only time any of the shops in North Fl. have discount bins are on FCBD.

I don't think many of the shops here in Jacksonville have any good discount bins, but I don't go into them very often any more.
There has been a local, monthly hotel comics show going on for the past year that I have gotten some good deals from.
As far as I know, there are a couple shops in Daytona that have some fifty cent bins, but it has been a while since I have driven down there to check on them.
The Goodwills here, on occasion, have some comics pop up. I got a good deal last year from one of them. I had to buy the whole bundles of them, though. It was most likely from a local comic shop, since there were lots of complete runs and they were all bagged and boarded.

Best of Trek #s 8, 9, 10, and 15 for a buck apiece!

It'd be a bit of a trek and tell you the truth, last time I visited it, and Florida for that matter (I really need to get down there again. Hopefully I will at some point next year, and of course I have two nephews who NEED to get their little butts down to Disney before their 10th birthday (not for another 5 or so years)) was in 2002 and being that I am not a comic book collector I did not seek out comic sellers (more of a trading cards guy and the last time I was there I was in midst of an action figure hobby), but I highly recommend this Flea Market in Port Richey:

Also

in Webster

in Homosassa

Same deal though, its been a long while, and even still I wasn't looking for comic book vendors.

I'm sure I've been to more in my travels to the Sunshine State during the 1990s, but those are the only three that are coming to mind right now.

This is where I went yesterday -- http://www.fleaworld.com/joomla/

It's pretty cool, but NO COMIC BOOKS! WTF is up with that?!

Not a Garage Sale but a Thrift Store find. My wife and I were at a Kids Consignment shop in Mauldin last weekend, and in the toy section I found (I kid you not) a mint-in-sealed-box ... for $7.95! The box is beat up pretty bad but it looks like the factory tape is still on there, and from what you can see of styrofoam and the toy itself, I don't think it has ever been opened.

The real irony here is that Magnus is a toy I have lusted after since I was in college but has almost always been out of my price range, especially complete. Magnus is one of my favorite Transformers characters and now that I have the MISB toy of him, I am totally torn on whether to open it up or not!

The Ghost of Robert Stack demands you get some sweet play time in with the new acquistion. What good are toys and collectibles if you can't display them AND play with them?

My local comic shop (at least, they were my local shop until I started buying my comics online) had their big annual sale on Saturday, and picked up 11 volumes of Dave Sim's Cerebus for... $11. I got volumes 2 and 5 - 14 for one buck apiece. Gotta love $200 worth of comics for $11!

I found G1 Starscream and two others still with their boxes, open two pieces missing, bought for $7.50. I then headed straight to my comic shop and got $90.00 in trade for comics, pure win!

I remember one of the things I loved about going to Florida as a kid, FLEA MARKETS! I used to get piles of comics on the cheap!!!
