So I cheated.
1. HARRY. DEAN. STANTON.
2. Ruffalo is the best Banner yet, and the Hulk.....let's just say the Hulk is a little bit of fucking awesome.
3. This movie is comic-booky in all the right ways, I can't wait to see this on a big screen with an audience.
4. Did I mention the HULK? There MUST be another Hulk movie.
5. Believe the hype! This is truly a fun ensemble action story -not dumb, but not too smart for it's own good.

My wife and I have begun our "rewatch all films in the series before seeing the latest one" for The Avengers. We're going on a lunch date on Friday to see it, and we're both extremely excited for it!

Not saying anything. As I get older (and creakier! What's that about?) I have come to the realization that ANYTHING can give me preconceived notions about a film and I would prefer that everybody see the film with NO knowledge of what is to come. Some bonehead on facebook published an article with no spoilers in it but if you have the slightest bit of intelligence you could work out something that happened in the film from that. Turn of your TV, unplug your internet and go and watch it unfettered by knowledge. You'll thank yourself the day after.

May the Fourth Be With You.

Screen Rant posted an article today saying that the Hulk steals the show at times and that a 3rd movie should be happening.

I saw it yesterday. Holy crap, I can't decide if it was worth it or if I should have waited until I could see it all on the big screen. Still, amazing movie.

Wow, Captain America better than Superman?

While I'll admit that Captain America was more visually fluid and looked more "real", Superman made a much, MUCH bigger impact on me. Then again, when I first saw Superman, it was the ultimate in special effects, and was the only big-screen superhero film around. In fact, now that I think about it, the film probably wouldn't have resonated so strongly with me if I'd seen something like Iron Man or the Sam Rami Spider Man films before seeing it. And then there's the fact that I dig the character Captain America much more than I do the character Superman.

So nevermind. I don't think I'm capable of objectively comparing the two films. :|

Anyway, I'm freaking AMPED to see Avengers! I've been trying to avoid reviews, but it's like everyone out there, both on the internet and in everyday life is practically screaming about how awesome it is. I look forward to seeing it. :)
