Had a great time recording this show. Chris and and the Hero (which sounds like Chris Hero, the wrestler) were both great fun to talk horror with, and this is one of my favorites.

Regarding the "analytical" style, on my old horror website which I mention on the show, I tried to do more in-depth critique, which is a hobby and interest. At the time, a lot of the more popular horror sites were, as the Joker would say, "This is attractive, that is not," so it was an effort to differentiate my stuff -- much like Chris says in the podcast about "means of going more in-depth." So when I watch a film with the intent of either talking about it or writing about it, I always take a good amount of notes and do research. I am glad that some folks liked it. And definitely looking forward to watching The Thing From Another World and The Thing with my "critical eyes" on (like Mr. Potato Head).

I do need to shut up more, though.

I'm looking forward to hearing the reviews of 'The Thing' and 'The Thing from Another World'. I do wonder if you'll also have discussion about John W. Campbell, Jr's original novella. "Who Goes There?" as well. Of course, any discussion about horrors in the Antarctic will likely lead to Lovecraft and the upcoming James Cameron/Guillermo DelToro adaptation of 'At the Mountains of Madness"...

I've got a prime candidate for the show after you finish up with Carpenter's 'Apocalypse Trilogy"...

The director of The Resurrected, Dan O'Bannon, is best known for his work on writing Alien and directing Return Of The Living Dead ("Send more cops!"). I have not seen that one, will have to track it down!

God, I love Return of the living dead. "You made me hurt myself again! I broke my hand off completely at the wrist this time, Tina! But that's okay, Darlin', because I love you, and that's why you have to let me EAT YOUR BRAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIINS!" Can't get over the fact that Linnea Quigley is stark naked, except for a non-defined codpiece where her love tunnel should be. I love the second one as well, as dated as it is. That scene of the Michael Jackson Thriller looking parody zombie getting electrocuted at the end slays me. " I feel like we've been here before. You... Me... Them!" Good times, and some of my introduction to horror films when they were on the UHF channels in Boston when I was just a wee little Metalhead.
