I finally saw The Muppets tonight. Started out strongly. It reminded me of Ishtar with its very uneven comedy soundtrack. Don't get me wrong, I liked Ishtar too. At least I liked it until I didn't.
Clees and the AMPAS overhyped "Man or Muppet" for me. That song is no "Rainbow Connection". Please tell me that the Academy Award was a make-up for snubbing "Rainbow Connection". "Me Party" was so weak that I felt bad for Amy Adams (screw Miss Piggy, I'm with Shaw). "Pictures in My Head" was my favourite new song.

I was a fan of most of the soundtrack. I think overall they did a good job keeping the atmosphere of the movie as close to the original show as they could, while still making it a tiny bit more modern.
