This was one of the first books I ever got when I was first getting into comics--very twisted and fascinating take on these characters.
It's interesting that a lot of people seem to have problems with it if they didn't have a lot of experience with the DCU--maybe it's because I had watched things like Justice League beforehand, but I didn't have a problem understanding it. Most of the stuff was explained enough to understand who they are and what they mean to the story, and anything that I was curious about I looked up.
You know, I always found the idea that the avatar of God's Vengeance would wear green underpants, but now that you mention it, him holding the cape over his bits is kind-of odd. Maybe if he had a constant shadow inside the cloak that started around where his pelvis was? Or they could just show him completely but have him be a Ken doll between the legs.
Yeah, this is the first time that Diana wears what other WW fans have semi-lovingly christened the "Screaming Chicken" armor. She would later wear it during the Greg Rucka and Gail Simone runs of the Wonder Woman ongoing.
The problem with your "how was I supposed to know that was Alex Ross" argument is that you guys mentioned the name and had a small discussion about him less than an hour ago. Not to mention that his name is probably on the credits somewhere.

With the funny lines in the "One Year Later" bit, I'm surprised no one mentioned:
WAITER: Today's Special is the Power Girl Chicken Sandwich.
BRUCE: The cut?
WAITER: Breast.

Good episode.
