Geek movie season is upon us. We fly high into the first big blockbuster of the year, Iron Man 3. Ryan and Alex are joined by the rest of Earth's Mightiest Podcast's hosts, Corwin and Viet. These four crime fighters diessect the movie plot, characters, and humor.

Wow, did Alex get replaced by a skrull? He sounds like someone working for the comics code.

Another great part in the podcast: Alex corrects corwin on killian's "true motivation" with regards to pepper. Less than a minute later: "Killian has no motivations". Good god there is a lot if talking in circles a fanboyish bitching.

"Rhodes did nothing"? The last 30 minutes was a black guy white guy buddy cop movie with tony and Rhodes.

Also with the vp working with aim, there's an easy explanation of how the helis got away.

The mandarin from the comics wouldn't work in the movies IMO. First he is a walking stereotype. Second someone whose power is based on 10 magical rings would not fit in with the established "real worldish feel" of the iron man universe. I loved the bait and switch. Can anyone actually show me a great iron man story with the mandarin as the villain?

I usually agree with him and am yelling at you, but we totally disagree here. I wonder if he likes action movies like lethal weapon, die hard, etc, because I donandbthats what I saw this movie as.

How much you want to bet that kid with iron man 3 becomes the new Nova?

Either that, or he will become a drunken washout that gets addicted to drugs, then pawns all that stuff for cash. He lives in a small town. That stuff is getting stolen/pawned

To lighten the mood everyone should watch this if they haven't already.

I thought the movie was as boring as Iron Man 2. It took almost an hour before he does anything in the armor. The villain had no real motivation to really go after Stark. Rhodey was not really used at all. The kid was just put in to sell the toys. I dont get the love for this movie at all.
