I love this series of games, and despite the last five minutes of the game, Mass Effect 3 was awesome. Now, while I'm not about to petition Bioware to change the ending (it's their vision after all) or call for someones head on a platter like some folks are doing, I can understand why people are upset. Just like Battlestar Galactica, Lost, and the Matrix Trilogy, everything was going great until omnipotent string-pullers got involved. Also, this idea of cosmic cycles is getting really old. Plus, it would seem odd that with so much money to be made still on this franchise, that Bioware would choose such a drastic way of changing this really rich and wonderful universe.
Still, 99% of the game was awesome and I really felt it when some character died. The intensity of the Earth campaign was amazing. I'm looking forward to taking my other Shepherds and their various decisions from the previous games through this one.
