X-Factor #233 (Spoilers)

Postby PSB » Thu Mar 22, 2012 7:24 am

And we're back! Not that I didn't find Madrox's dimension jumping interesting, but I was really looking forward to the new team dynamic now that Havok and Polaris were (back) in the mix. This was definitely one of those in between arc that sets up the somewhat changed status quo. I wonder if Jamie and Layla are going to leave the team temporarily now that it looks like X-Factor is in good hands, leadership wise. Great to have Leonard Kirk back! And the Isolationist is back after how many years?

What did everyone else think?

I think Valerie Cooper is a bitch. And not in a cool way.
Its my favourite characters' universe. Your favourite characters just live in it.

I dug it. I liked how Havok was quick to defend Madrox even though Alex is probably a much better leader. I'm looking forward to the new dynamic. Oh and Yardin's cover rocked my socks off.

Pe-ter Da-vid *clap* *clap* *clap clap clap* Pe-ter Da-vid *clap* *clap* *clap clap clap*

I'm running out of new ways to express the fantastic-osity of this book. The mission was a great way to show off the new dynamics of the team. I'm glad they're not completely rearranging things, but just tweaking them a bit with the new characters.

I don't think Madrox & Layla will leave the team, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them working cases on their own like they've done in the past.

"Alex? Lorna? They're in charge now? It's just... that seems to have come from out of nowhere." :)
Wait - Rictor was his boyfriend's mother's obstetrician?!?

Such a badass cover. Heavy contender for the next Month in X album art.

Great issue, as a MASSIVE Havok and Polaris fan it's great to FINALLY have them back in a title again. Great team dynamics. Peter David shows once again how to write a team book. My only real issue is the story for the most part felt kinda throw away. Something slipped in there just to get us to the next point, but Peter David's throw away stories have a tendency to be on par with some other writers everyday, so it's all good.
