I don't know how I did it, but I managed to get 107. :) Not too shabby for someone who started reading X-Men at 'Second Coming' :)

Oh wow and I didn't even scroll down to see they wanted the Gen Hope/New Mutants kids!!! I like to think I would have gotten 20 more had I known, but it is my own fault. That's so funny.

(Wtf are half these characters lol. Crusader X??? Lol)

There are a few errors with the system. For example I typed in cuckoo but 'three-in-one' didn't appear. I also typed in Valarie Cooper, but I needed to put 'Val' only etc.

So, it took me a little while to get around to it, but I did take a peek at the Javascript that runs the game. It turned out to be fairly straightforward; the answers are stored in an array right in the source of the page itself. They're encrypted so you can't just read them directly from the source, but the function for decryption is right in the page source itself as well. It could have been a lot more complicated.

Anyway, there are a total of 14 hidden characters on top of the 217 that "count." The entire X-Statix line-up is there, but they are all included as variants of Anarchist so you can only get credit for one, and no matter which one you pick it will list as Anarchist. Doop is separate, as mentioned before. That leaves 12 others (one or two of which have been mentioned above). The level of obscurity and the degree to which they were ever considered X-Men varies, but none seemed completely outrageous - certainly no more fringe than Sir Benedict.

And since I doubt anyone else cares at this point, I'll stop prattling on.
Wait - Rictor was his boyfriend's mother's obstetrician?!?

Is it sad that I still have the top score out of everyone on the forum?

Got 130. The Muir Island team and all the student squads were hard ones for me. If only I had the passenger list of the bus that was blown up at the school...
