The most recent issue of Fantastic Four had images from AvX in it, Wolverine tied into Civil War and Fear Itself and X-Men created its own event and tie-ins with Curse of the Mutants.

When did wolverine tie into fear itself? I thought that was a seperate mini.

There's a difference between a book being successful enough to get it's own mini tie-in to a major event, and a book so unpopular that it pretty much exists to be 50% appendix notes for unrelated stories in other books. The Welfare book. You know I'm talking about New Mutants. Scott's question should be clarified as "Is this book going to be the next New Mutants?"

Yeah Uncanny X-Force and Wolverine and Spider-Man had seperate mini series set aside from their series. Fantastic Four doesn't count. If it doesn't have a banner on it then it isn't a tie.

Wolverine tied into Civil War. One tie in isn't as bad as;

X-Men/Dark Avengers Utopia, X-Necrosha, Messiah Complex, Second Coming, AvX, Age of X, Original Sin, and then spent a lot of time on Regenisis.

One tie in isn't bad but tie initis is. Paul even said one of the problems with Uncanny X-Men was the tie ins Gillen was forced to do.

It should also be mentioned that there was a mini-event between Amazing Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Punisher, so they're not completely out of the event game either.
