I do understand your thoughts, however, it is more worrying, I'm sure you'll agree when you're part of the minority group that seems to be suddenly underrepresented again.

Fair point on the 'ever green' thing, but why let a proposal happen at all, only to veto any development of it? It's a fuck up from editorial however you look at it, and DC have been having a fair few of them recently.
I don't read the book myself so cant speak of its quality or of how the relationship has been handled, but the story came to my attention through a conversation two lesbian friends of mine were having on Facebook. They both read the book (I know its what got one of them into comics), and both felt pretty disappointed

I do not envy comic producers in this area. It seems they're always either overemphasizing gay characters and turning them into charicatures, or they're not giving them enough attention and letting them fade into oblivion.

I'll never understand it. Here we are facing giant killer monsters invading us from a wormhole in the Mariana trench, and were busy dividing instead of uniting. I saw that documentary.

I for one am happy about the wedding being pulled, for two reasons. One I am huge fan of Kate and Renee more, and that ship needs to be together. And two, just the tone of Batwoman. It wouldn't even be a year before she's killed and is used as a motivation for Kate, and the marriage would have a contrived plot device.

...Holy shit, I completely forgot about Stormwatch. Which is sad, because I do have a soft spot for a lot of those Wildstorm characters. Basically anything with Lobo in it on a regular basis just destroys all interest for me.

I dropped Stormwatch too. Just didnt do it for me. And I stuck through ALL of the Authority (why, oh why?)

Did anyone mention Daken in this thread?

At least Bling! has been appearing in X-Men, and Anole hot a mention in Watxm a few issues ago... small victories?
