Well, we were keeping in tandem with the DC Wormhole podcast covering titles in the New 52 but now those guys are going on hiatus. So, we're still hear covering the integration of the Wildstorm Universe into the New DCU 52. We just hit our two year anniversary in April and we want to thank all of you who have been listening and hope that you will continue to follow us and spread the Wildstorm love!

Episode 32 is out!

We cover Stormwatch #7, Grifter #7, Voodoo #7 and we even touch on some other titles which have some old Wildstorm character appearances including Superboy #7 and we were going to cover Superman #7 which has Helspont vs. Superman but the issue turned out to be more of a tease so we'll cover #7 & 8 on our next podcast. But it was a great intro of Helspont so far!

I've never read any Wildstorm before DC's new 52, and I'm usually a trade waiter. So when the relaunch happened Grifter, Stormwatch, and Voodoo were the only DC titles that I've kept up with in single issues. Now with the solicitations for September, it's announced that issue zero of Voodoo will be the titles final issue. Which I'm very upset about, because for me Voodoo was the strongest of the three titles based on the Wildstorm properties. Now if the rumors are true that WildCATS will return in the fourth wave of titles, it will be my replacement book for Voodoo. Not to sure about the Team 7 title but I'll give a chance. Hopefully it's better than what I read in Grifter issue 10!

When you mention Angie's origin in the old universe. I did look it up recently, and I kinda like that WSU one better and, ironically enough, it fits with what (at least used to be) the DCU was all about: Legacies. In a lot of ways, Angie was sort of the Wally West, the "sidekick" (assistant in a research lab, technically), and when the old Engineer died, he had all his technology be given to her, and she improved on the tech and became The Engineer. This origin for her kinda takes that wonder and, let's be real, the consent away. That said, I'm sure that Milligan (and possibly Cornell had this in mind as well) went like this for an in-story reason.

Yeah, the Grifter power stuff would be a lot more interesting if there was a limit to it--even if it was something as small that he can only use it in short bursts.

Yeah, with the solicits that came out this week, it showed that the regular artist for Supergirl, Mahmud Asrar, will be back for the November issue. Sami Basri doesn't have a home yet--which sucks, since I think he would be a perfect fit for Catwoman now that Gulliem March is gone as the "lead" artist.

As for what to call Voodoo's transformations--I don't know if it works, but I just got this vision in my head of her transforming like in Sailor Moon, will all the frills and happy pop, but she's still growing these monstrous wings, horrific maw and sharp claws. ...Yes, I am under some heavy medication at the moment, why do you ask?

I looked it up, and yes,

Yeah, I'm SO sad Voodoo's ending. :(

It's funny, I tried both of the first issues of Liefeld's attempts at Grifter and Deathstroke, and I thought Grifter was FAR better. Probably has a bit to do with the fact that I don't have the history with the character as you guys do, but mostly because in Grifter there's, y'know, actual writers and artists interpreting Liefeld's madness.

Good episode, guys. :)

Sami Basri on Batwoman would be awesome with Dave Stewart's coloring!
