I also enjoyed it. Some great spidy heroism. It's also pretty clear that the Phoenix 5 are now definitely the villains. Does anyone else think they stole this plot from Squadron Supreme?

Finally some dialogue with Storm and T'challa. I hope they work out their differences, but I don't see how Storm will be welcome in Wakanda ever again. (Damn you Cyclops with your fuckeduppedness! You ruined it!)

I don't buy Colossus and Magic turning on each other like that. But whatever. Now it should be clear enough to everybody. Cyclops has never been so wrong, in all his wrong-ass life, and he is going down.

Best comment about the Wakanda part of the book: This is a first for Namor: he managed to fuck up a dude's marriage without banging his wife first.

yeah, i thought this issue was great. that stuff with colossus and the whales might be the single best moment of this event. i don't think cyclops has ever been this cool. i can't wait for next issue. i'm really hoping emma takes on all the negativity while cyclops handles it like a pro and takes her down.

if cyclops goes down and emma becomes the next phoenix and goes supernova or whatever like jean did, and scott has two lost ladies, that'll be SUPER dumb. however is scott heroics himself out of this whole mess he may just become the ryan gosling of the marvel universe.

I think Cyclops will try to claim Emma's power for his own. I think he believes he can handle it. And to be honest, so far, he can.

anyway, how do you bring emma back? namor was often considered a villain, so his war against wakanda isn't something he can't come back from. the rasputins haven't killed anyone and simply 'haven't been themselves lately'

but if emma's going to go on a murder spree, that's not really something heroes do. even under mind control. there was a huge issue during the dark phoenix saga that jean was overpowered and when they had the phoenix go bonkers and start wiping galaxies, editorial wouldn't let the character just come back from that. she had to die. is this a different age? where a character can go bananas, kill a bunch of people, but remain justifiably heroic?
