Though I wasn't Fraction's biggest fan on Uncanny, I did enjoy most of his work on Iron Man that I read (dropped out shortly after #500). So, I'm actually interested in what he can bring to the first family.

As for Bagley and Allred on the art?

F#%k yeah!!!

One of the main problems with his Uncanny run seemed to be that he was trying to do too much at once and wasn't balancing the large cast well. The narrower focus of the Fantastic Four should make that less of a problem. FF has a somewhat bigger cast, and writing believable kids can be tricky, so I'm not sure what to expect there.

Info and line up for FF with Fraction and Allred. Can you say X-Force/X-Statix Take II? Not that that's a bad thing. Miss Thing does scream a bit of U Go Girl. Still interested, though. Bagley's Fantastic Four looks sweeeeeeeeeet!

Yeah, both stories sound very interesting (F4 basically going the Dr. Who route, and FF hinting at it going terribly wrong with some other cool stories along the way).

I guess now I'll find out if I'm a fan of the Fantastic Four, or if it was specifically Hickman's take on them that worked for me. I'll definitely give Fantastic Four a try; that sounds interesting.

I'm less sold on FF. It's obviously very different from the current incarnation, and the new lineup and premise don't exactly grab me. I'll probably wait and hear what other people have to say about the first issue or three.

That said, there's no reason it should be beholden to what Hickman did, and I hope it lives up to the expectations of everyone who is excited by the setup.

FF I'll try out, but Fantastic Four I'm staying clear away from. If there's one artist I can't stand it's Bagley.

Now I'm kicking myself for not including X-Force/X-Statix in our Days of X-Men Past reviews. That FF cover is making me feel all nostalgic.

I was thinking that it would be cool if Barry Kitson could be second artist on Fantastic Four (he's done a few issues of FF during the last year), but now I remember that Bagley works so fast that he won't need one.

According to these variant covers, the Fantastic Four will be flying around in the USS Defiant.

I can't wait to see what that girl's reaction to that Thing armor will be?

GIRL: What is this?
JOHNNY: I dunno, something Reed made one day.
GIRL: Why?
JOHNNY: ...Look, I love the guy, but he has his...quirks. He'll work on twelve dozen serums for Ben and then he seems to lose interest. He'll build random things that we don't need or could just buy from a store just so he could do it. I mean, he built HERBIE, for crying out loud!
GIRL: Is he...okay?
JOHNNY: Well, we've tried having some shrinks come over to talk to him, but they always run away crying after he shows he knows more about psychology than they do.
