Shadowman #2 (Spoilers)

Postby PSB » Wed Dec 05, 2012 11:44 pm

Another decent issue, but like most other Valiant books, it'll take a third issue to really sell me on the book. Zircher's continues to be fantastic.

I enjoyed it. The art was beautiful and the story was intriguing enough. I'm usually not a fan of all this demon stuff, but I'm sticking around for now. I'm noticing something with all these Valiant books--the pacing is very fast, but in a good way. We're getting lots of action scenes, developing storylines, and cliffhanger endings--plenty of bang for our buck.

I really liked this issue. I thought Jordan stepped up his game and I'm warming to all the characters. The art was great and the story was fun -- I love the name Mr. Twist lol. The B plot with the master is really excited. I can already feel myself anticipating his return.

It does feel a bit Buffy the Vampire Slayer though. :P

Good issue. I'm also not normally into horror/demons and stuff but one of the reasons i've fallen in love with Valiant is the way that each new series brings a new genre to the line.
