great episode!
One of the (many) things I think Valiant is doing better than other publishers is (re)introducing characters in existing titles before giving them their own. Being a 'new' Valiant reader, I have no previous (i.e. pre-relaunch) exposure to the likes of Eternal Warrior or Ninjak but I am SO looking forward to their titles due to seeing them in X-O and A&A.

How are you liking Harbinger Wars, Russy?

Also, how would you rank the five ongoing books?

I think Harbinger Wars as a whole is fantastic although, as was mentioned on the podcast, there is quite of lot of repetition throughout the 3 books (HW, Bloodshot and Harbinger). I just read Bloodshot 11 last night and was surprised/shocked by the amount already seen in HW 2.
As regards ranking the books, i would say Harbinger and X-O are joint top, then Archer and Armstrong, then Bloodshot (although i feel that it has improved a lot since Barry Kitson took over on art) and finally Shadowman.

Thanks for the listen, russy :)

What if shadowman were the same quality as the #0 issue. Would it rise in your estimations?

It's not so much the quality of art/writing in Shadowman. I don't feel that the character (Shadowman as opposed to Jack) has been explained well enough. If someone asked me what Shadowman's powers were I'd struggle to give an answer. Mind you, I'm not a massive fan of supernatural/magic stories so that probably doesn't help!

Yeah, we haven't gotten a real concrete description of Shadowman's abilities. So far, there's some strength, healing, and a really cool scythe.
