I could totally see these as hybrids:

Flint/Cup
Scarlett/Arcee
Duke/Hot Rod
Doc/Ratchet
Beachhead/Hound
Mainframe/ Wheeljack
Ace/Jetfire

Just off the top of my head...

There is no way Duke is Optimus. There isnt a good all around leader in Joe, because Gen. hawk isnt in the field as much, and Duke isnt the number 1 leader.

Besides i think "Duke -Rod" sounds about right considering his lameness.

Ryan, i got you now, i thought you wanted to do a character mash up. For a vs. I want to see SnakeEyes vs TMNT Leonardo. Maybe we should start a vs. thread.

Just a thought, People vs a TF isnt exactly a fair fight.

I never liked Duke. He never seemed like a leader to me. I could never put my finger on why when I was a kid, but now as an adult I do. Duke was the boss, but never a leader. Anyone can be the boss in the military by virtue of rank, but few are actually leaders. There's a difference, trust me. There's a huuge difference.
I think that was the big contrast with Gi Joe and Cobra. Cobra was full of leaders, or wannabe leaders, rather. With the likes of Cobra Commander and Destro and the Baroness and the Twins. Too many chiefs, not enough enough braves. The Joes on the other hand were full of Braves who at any given time could become Chiefs. Team concept warfare as opposed to "Do what I say, or I shoot you in the face." concept. Duke was just always First to step in and start barking orders...never meant he should though.
And I gotta agree with Robert on this one...he was lame! God he was lame. I think it was his card art that did it for me...what a douche.
