Star Destroyer Obliterates the Enterprise because Star Trek sucks...except for that awesome JJ Abrams film.

I'm voting for the Star Destroyer. I think that Star Destroyers have more than one gun on them, and they would give the Enterprise a beating. Even though the Enterprise has great shields, when they get into fights you see the Enterprise and the crew getting rocked about, and they're giving damage reports about shield percentages, and hull integrity and having to close off decks and what not. And thats from ships firing one or two weapons. A full complement of arms from a Star Destroyer takes down the Enterprise. The Star Destroyer just overpowers them.

I did see a lot of Star Trek bridge scenes where the people were being thrown from one side of the room to another because of blasts they took...even with shields.

Plus it's in the name. It's a Star Destroyer. It destroys stars. The Enterprise sounds like a some stock sold on Wall Street.

Post deleted - missed a page and didn't see the discussion had moved on, plus most of my point was ninja'd anyway.

I like Star Wars more than Star Trek; it's in my freakin' DNA! :D I'm a Trek fan as well though, and as much as it pains me, I have to go with the Enterprise D on this match. The Star Destroyer has more mass and more support craft than the Enterprise, but the Federation has superior tech. The ship has multiple phaser-banks, each capable of delivering multiple blasts of sustained phased energy that could carve apart the Star Destroyer. They could also slave a couple of phaser banks to the ship's sensors, firing short multiple bursts to pick off any TIEs that come their way.

The SD has massive weapons, but I think the Enterprise has it beat in shield strength. And if all else fails, the Enterprise could always resort to using its transporters to either:

A: Lock on to key control centers in the Star Destroyer and transport the crews at those stations into space, or
B: Rig a shuttle's warp-core to detonate, and transport the shuttle into the heart of the Star Destroyer just before the warp-core goes critical. The resulting matter/anti-matter explosion would rip the Star Destroyer to pieces.

Again my bias is going to play a factor here. I'm choosing Voltron. I really have absolutely no love for the power rangers (except the original pink ranger, she was hot). Power Rangers was past my days of interest. Voltron still has blazing sword and his movements are more fluid that the Power Rangers robot (does it even have a name?). Voltron for sure wins.

I don't know jack about Power Rangers, but something tells me there's no way in hell that thing is gonna stand a chance against Voltron. Multiple attacks from different directions in lion form, then link up to slice & dice with BLAZING SWORD. VOLTRON FTW! :)

The megazord and voltron do the same things. They both are composed cod smaller animals and both have finishing moves with their swords. The power rangers are definitely better than the voltron force.... This is still a pretty even match, imo.

So hard for me to be unbiased again. I have to pick Green Lantern. Yeah, I know the Hulk is strong beyond measure, but I am going with GL. He has the ultimate weapon. He won't need to get even close to the Hulk to fight him and take him down.

yeah, GL puts Hulk in a bubble then flies him out to space and lets him go. The end.

Chromium makes a good point about the MegaZord, they really are the same concept. I think power rangers are better hand to hand fighters in person. That might translate to how the robot fights. But in the end I think the Voltron robot has more weapons capabilities and a stronger sword finish.

I'm not that into power rangers either, but considering the concept is so similar, you have to give them some credit in this match up.
