I have a feeling that either option is going to keep me awake for 3 days, lol. I'm already in "sketch debt" with Grubbzilla. I don't need any more piled on. :?

Grubb- I do have the layouts done btw. I'm hoping to wrap that up right after I'm done with Castle this week. Just fyi

I just got mine in the mail today. This thing is a doorstop of a book! Lots of issues! I don't think they are doing a hardcover though, just fyi.

They actually do have several hardcover collections. This one just might not have made financial sense to do..unless the trade sells well. A while back trades would come out first and hardcovers would follow later if the trade sold well. It's only in the recent 5+ years that you would see hardcovers first.

IDW has the hardcover collections of their Transformers run (up to volume 8 so far). They have just started he IDW run of G.I. Joe and A Real American Hero in hardcover series. They also did outside of these series hardcovers, individual hardcover collections of Drift, All Hail Megatron, Chuckles Last Laugh, and Danger Girl/G.I. Joe. I think they also had a hardcover of Last Stand of the Wreckers.

We'll probably still see Cobra Civil War in hardcover but it will be in the IDW hardcover collection, and will probably be split into 2 volumes, which as many issues that are in it probably makes sense for a stable hardcover. DC has done massive hardcovers with tons of issues, but I have heard of those falling apart because they are so big.

I have 2 of the X-Men Omnibus editions, which seem to be put together well, but I'm always careful with them when I open them up, that I do open them on something with support. I have heard of their weight pulling them apart. I have the Darkness Compendium, and that one seems less sturdy. It's still together fine, but I can tell that I need to be careful with it.

Just want to say how awesome the star joes, I guess trio now, is! I was just listening to ep. 100 and heard you talking with Mike Costa about his Cobra title and how it is now all together under one hard back. I have to say that run alone has got me back into the Gi Joe verse from when I was a kid and into comics. So I was checking that out on Amazon and stumbled upon this compendium and wanted to know what issues were in it. A quick google search later and where was my question answered, only on the best Joe comic resource on the web. I can't recall how many times I have searched or had Joe comic related questions answered here. You guys rock! I have been listening and enjoying the podcast for the last couple of years. Keep up the great work!
