Ok, the new Seth Green animated show, star wars detours looks good. It has this sort of cute art style that I liked and the clips they showed. It's going to be funny. Ahmed Best, Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee all are voicing their on screen counterparts and I'm really jazzed for this to come out.

Star Wars News Thread 2012 Edition

I've seen the first season and will eventually catch up with the others. I would place it after the original trilogy but as better than the prequels. A lot of characters and concepts come off better in Clone Wars than in the prequels. Understanding Anakin as a hero who has a flaw that can be manipulated to turn him to the dark side comes across better I think. The voice actor does a better job than Haden C.

I was at one of the Clone Wars panels during C6 and while I've never seen more then 1 episode of the show before that day, the longer it goes on the more interesting it looks like it's getting. At some point I have got to really watch it. Sad part is I was given the first season a couple years ago for x-mas.

Like I said this is still off one season, but I think the Clone Wars shows that there's a lot of good story ideas and elements present in the prequels. You may not love the presentation (I don't) but CW shows how there's a lot to work with and develop.

Time for another did you have this as a kid? Today we look at Jedi Luke Skywalker, I did not have this Luke as a kid but I have him now thanks to the vintage collection and other versions too. But this one started it all, he was the first Jedi Luke. Did you have him?

I really enjoy the Clone Wars cartoon, I'm behind in watching the episodes, but I agree with what people have said about it. It's well written and the execution is great. It's a great way to tell more of the Star Wars story.

I did have both the Vader case and the Black Luke. Loved the Vader case when I first got it...then I learned that nothing stayed in it's place. That Luke was by far my favorite of all the versions out there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this version the first that actually had the "kung fu grip" style light saber...not the weird slide through the arm antenna?
