New Toys and Art Finds 2012 Edition

Postby mythmakingetc » Thu Aug 30, 2012 8:13 am

TRU here has Joe out but at target they moved a small bit of retaliation to two pegs on an end cap. It's too bad that they are basically have no presence at the moment until the movie promotion starts to swing around again

I would be shocked if Target didn't have another reset for Xmas though so maybe Hasbro will be pushing the figures again then.

Went by WalMart today and they didn't have pegs for Joes, either.

I did see a cool Skrull Soldier from the Avengers movie line, that was it...not $10 worth of cool though, so it stayed on the peg.

Ok, since I finally got the last of my stuff back from C6 that my friend had since he drove back. I finally took some pictures. I appologize for some of these being upside down or sideways. I have no idea how to fix this crap and photobucket apparently lies :(

Print from Katie Cook:

Print from Dave Dorman which he did doodle on everyone's for them. I asked for an A-Wing but he couldn't remember how they looked off the top of his head so instead he drew the Star Destroyer, which is cool to:

Such awesome stuff, Grubb. Damn I wish I had been able to go this year.

Love especially the Dave Dorman sketch and print as well as the Katie Cook print (saw some of that one on her site, and was dying after I saw it). Also love the autographed Zahn book. So cool.

All great pick ups, but man I love that Dorman pencils piece. Was that a prelim for a cover?

The Dorman piece was an alternate cover for the last issue I believe. I also bought a lot of other stuff dealing with Disney Viynlmation and a few other things like a Disney name tag with my name done in Aurubesh with the Death Star as my home town. But I'll be wearing that at Baltimore. I also meet a guy who plays zombies in The Walking Dead, he's actually part of the Florida Garrison and we were eating dinner together one day. I've got a little card from him he signed and I forgot I had Katie Cook do a little doodle of my cats for my wife.

had a final toy run before baltimore. well i wouldnt have bought anything but i found a raiders mcfarlane for like 11 bucks thats bout 5 dollars cheaper than anywhere else then ive always liked the action league figures(the mini dc ones) but wasnt willing to pay 7- 10 dollars for them but i found a grean lantern with a canon construct and a batman with a hydraboat sled for 2 bucks a piece at walmart.i only wish the 2 pack were that cheap i would of bought the flashpoint ones they did. then i went to tru and found a new wave of star wars figs the vintage and lost wave lines same figs just different cards. i ended up buying the vader with the missing hand and force lightning on the vintage card..

I walked through the toy isles at Meijer today and there was a Lego Jabba's palace play set, and a Lego desert skiff. Both looked pretty cool. I would like to see a Lego set of Jabba's barge.
