Yea I would love to get a Whale so I'd buy it if they re-released it. It came out in night force colors too in the 80s so there's prolly like a 1% chance you'll see it in the new joe con set haha

I would love a new version of the WHALE too, or a re-issue of the classic one.

In other news... The 2013 GI Joe Club set is not setting my world on fire. I did get a little excited when Night Force was announced but I had a whole different version of the team in my head. At this point I'd be happier with re-packs of certain figures in the black and gray deco. Chuck dont do neon Joes. Bad move Hasbro, bad move.... :x

I totally agree Chuck. Like Eco warriors all over again.

Also got FSS figures 3 and 4 yesterday. Expect me selling these ones soon :)

Jinx and Dice were the first 2 which I stillhavent put up for sale. Quarrel and Nano BAT are the new two. The BAT is actually quite cool. Quarrel just looks like a new uniform Scarlett with different hair and a Swiss accent.

IDW Limited is doing a Joe book:

Interesting they shared this with Hisstank first.

Atkins pieces in the Blue Label edition? Wow.

Was perusing SmallJoes and BBTS a bit ago, and I gotta tell ya, I'm really not feeling this Retaliation card art. I'm a big on-card guy...and this new shit is, well it's shit. The funky Rock and Snake Eyes on the cover just doesn't jive at all. All the recent since '07 has had, for the most part, original art accompanying the fig. This line seems to just be thrown together and with more emphasis on the wonky accessories than the art. Coming off of the 25th, ROC and POC lines this line is kind of disappointing.

I like the movie figures for the most part as far as the figures themselves, but I agree that the card art sucks and I would rather have less gimmicky accessories for better card art, but I think the toy creators have in their mind that kids want the gimmicky accessories.

They don't remember that what attarcted us as kids to those original figures was the awesome card art in the store. They looked awesome on there no matter how lame the figure actually was.

A couple good examples are Brawn from the Transformers line sucked really as a figure, but his card art made him look like he would be awesome. Let's not forget Crystal Ball. A very lame figure, but his card art made him look dangerous.

Here is a perfect example of what I'm talkin about. Figure sucks but I would've wanted this so bad just because of the card art.

So, what's the deal with these Funskool figs? Other than a funky paint scheme and sub-par packaging, they seem pretty legit. In some cases they even have extra accessories not available with the american versions. They look so lonely...
