Video Games

Postby Starfighter » Thu Nov 08, 2012 12:47 pm

I cannot believe that there is not a section for Video Games on this forum.

I currently bought an Xbox 360 and just beat Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3 and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron within the last 4 months. Great games.

I am currently playing Halo 4. It is visually beautiful.

I have not tried the Multiplayer on these games as I really only play Multiplayer for Sports and Call of Duty. I mainly just enjoy the Single Player Campaign.

What are you playing?

I think we did have a thread for video games, but it might be several pages back because there had not been any recent updates, but no worries. Love new topics on here, or reinvigorated ones.

Right now I'm not playing much outside of my iPad games. I just don't have a lot of time. I still need to finish playing through Skyrim, love that game. I started playing Lego Batman 2: Superheroes. Those are just fun games.

On my iPad I am hooked on games like The Tribes, Words with Friends, and of course all of those "with friends" or "with buddies" games. I have not tried the MOTU game yet. I downloaded it, but have not tried it out yet.

Idk if I ever talked about this here before but Star Wars Battlefront 1&2 are two of my fave games ever. I like 1 more than 2 because of the game play but 2 was cool cuz you use the special characters. Anyways I want to see this same game done with more properties such as GI Joe, MOTU and Transformers. I think Joe would this game the most but you get the idea

I loved Metroid. It definitely gets tougher as you go on through it, and I think I remember I had to read my Nintendo Power Magazine on how to beat the final boss, mother brain, which was still a bit tough after that. Then playing the game a second time through gets even tougher, but it's such a great game.

I also found now that I'm older that my gaming reflexes on those old games are not what they used to be.

Haha, I don't think my reflexes have gone yet but seeing I don't play anything new anymore it's like I'm one of the cranky old guys thinking that stuff is too complex now

Both stellar games. And if you took just the story lines from the old republic mmo, it's a pretty stellar over all story :)

I would assume that a Lego TMNT game is not far behind.

Speaking of Lego, the new game that is soon to be released is Lego City Undercover. It looks very cool.

Here is the official description:
Taking place in the vast Lego City, players play as an undercover cop named Chase McCain as he goes on the hunt for criminals. Chase has various moves at his disposal, such as swinging across poles and performing wall jumps. He can also gain disguises that give him additional abilities, such as a robber disguise that lets him break locks. Chase can also pilot vehicles such as cars and helicopters and use loose bricks to build various objects. The Wii U GamePad also has various uses, such as a scanner to locate criminals.[4]
Gameplay borrows many elements from the Grand Theft Auto series, however is role-reversed with the player taking on the role of a police officer enforcing the law, rather than a criminal committing crime.[5] The game also includes references to notable Nintendo intellectual properties, such as having the ability to build a Lego warp pipe, and using it to warp similarly to the Super Mario universe warp pipes.
